Northumberland and Rappahannock, the two undefeated teams in NNK Volleyball district play, went at it tonight in Rappahannock's beautiful new gymnasium.
Both teams came in at 4-0 in the NND (final game of the 1st round of NNK play). The Rapp Times and NN News media were there to cover the action.
The gym was packed (RHS' Pink night), the music was jamming, and both schools had fun student sections with signs and costumes. The Indian mascot showed up to get the visitors hyped. I believe I saw a RHS Pirate as well and a Raider Shark.... It was a fun time for all and some great, exciting games.
NHS pulled out the victory in some close ones (25-23, 15-25, 25-23, 25-15).
Next one should be just as good.
