..the biggest bust in MSU football history, in the modern era, is the posse of worthless idiots Jackie signed out of Arizona Western (or whatever that desert craphole is called).

Since you started with a MSU player, I'll go that route. The guy went from being a probably All-SEC running back to being a fat slob booed off of the field on senior day.

I know he is a sophomore, but I just get so disappointed when he touches the ball. Also Big Feces aka Marcus Campbell and his partner in crime White Feces aka Wesley Morgan.

Dontae Walker was very highly ranked nationally. Something like the #2 or #3 RB recruit in the nation. This award can't go to anybody but 'Tae.

many called me an idiot saying it was only 2 games into the year and he would be a contributor. I'm hoping those people have finally seen the light. Anyways, Elliot is definitely a BUST, but he's not the biggest bust in our football history....that honor I think would have to go to Walker.

Went from Parade All American, number 3 RB coming out of High School and overall number 1 player in the state to being booed off his home field at homecoming. Not to mention incarcerated in a pound me in the (_|_) prison.

Although Ray Ray Bivens and Antonio Hargrove should make honorable mention.

I thought this dude would be the next Eric Moulds. The only thing he did of significance was doing push-ups after making a catch in the Arkansas game in '02.

but unlike most of these y'all are listing it wasn't his fault. Tha was a freak injury. He was gonna be a great one.

Todd couldn't beat out Greg Plump, and Rodney ended up transferring to some Div I-A school (UAB in its infancy?).
Rodney Hudson. His first pass attempt was an interception. Jackie defended him saying that "Dan Marino's first pass was an INT too".

He was forced to play his freshman year when he wasn't ready, then the offense was changed to option. When he finally got a coordinator that ran a pro style offense, he would light defenses up. On top of all that, he's in the top 3 all time in punting average and that's with a years worth of pooch punting figured in. You're a dumbass.

Elliott is definately a bust. He is certainly in the top 10, and he is a junior, not a sophomore.

There was more talk about Dontae and then he got to school and **** the bed, the field, the campus, and himself.

But I think it's mainly because his name is Todd.

If only he was 4 instead of 14, I think the magic would have come to him.

I will say that he was the QB for my all-time favorite MSU football play in the 1993 Egg Bowl- the Micheal Davis pitch back to Jordan to Eric Moulds for a 50 yard TD on a flea flicker.

That said, as much as I like the guy, based on his hype out of high school, he was certainly a bust as a QB.

and David Fair- it's hard for me to say that a guy is a bust when he got hurt. At least I feel a little bit bad calling them a bust since they didn't live up to expectations and it wasn't totally their fault.

And Templeton Hardy? Most people I know told me that he wasn't that good to start with, so it's hard to say that he's a bust.

Those were some terrible games he started... granted Sir Break-a-lot Henig didn't really help him out since he was supposed to be redshirted... but damn... throw him in with the Crxxms/McCorvey patented West Coast no-ffense... you have some crap-tastic football.

but with all the hype that was there when Todd was signed at State, the guy didn't live up to it. Other than the UF game that year, our offense didn't "light up defenses". We were 3-6-2, for chissakes. We TIED Arkansas State.

Demetrius Hill. Defensive lineman out of Meridian in the Felker era. High school All-American who didn't qualify and went to JUCO for 2 years. We resigned him and had to redshirt him. He then played 2 years for us and didn't do anything.

David Fair is disqualified because of his knee injury. Dontae Walker is disqualified because he had 2 good seasons before he went to hell.
