The November 14, 1923 Daily Home News reported, “This weekend has been set aside as the alumni home-coming day, and hundreds are expected to return and see in action the best Scarlet team in years.” On November 17, 1923, Rutgers crushed Boston University 61-0. At halftime, alumni formed a giant “R” on the field.
