Cal failed as well and no matter the hard feelings we have here he is an excellent college basketball coach. (Maybe not the greatest at x's and o's but obviously that's only part of the job)
If Donovan becomes available we need to fire Pope today and try to get him.

I am not insinuating that I prefer Pope over Donovan, I am saying if I was UNC. That said, I would gone after neither 2 years ago.

Donovan would have no problem adapting. 1st year might be a little struggle if the portal is about closed. But after that I see him having top 5 teams.

For sure we have NOT lowered our standards, we have lowered our player talent level and certainly have lowered our level of coaches.
We will never lower our expectations and demnds for some common sense in our AD & University president.
With our luck, he goes to UNC and wins a championship in year two, while we get stuck with Pope showing us a Power Point presentation about how we've improved 0.6% on road games after 7pm despite having a schedule that was 11% harder than previous years.
