Good for him

I remember thinking he was making a mistake by going straight to the pros. Shows how much I know.

Would have loved to see go see him try and play 2 sports here though.

Not playing in the central against Yadi. He'll get some. But not 100

You do realize that he swiped 13 bags in 13 games last season, right? It's easy to say he won't get 100, but 100 is a reality if he has an average OBP. Nevertheless, he could get 50 as a pinch-runner.

That is true. Can't steal if you ain't on base. But being a cards fan I hope he fails miserably.

I wasn't posting this because I was shocked he was leading off, Doubleday.

Then what was it for? Players reported for Spring Training 2 days ago. They haven't even played a game yet. Has he "won" anything yet - or at least something we didn't already know? Yahoo rated him the 68th player in the league, so he's no sleeper candidate.

It would have been more impressive to note that he's moving from the infield to outfield.

I was

posting it because he's a player from MS, who at one point committed to State, Doubleday. This being a sports message board and all, I figured a segment would think "Hey, look, that Hamilton kid from MS is going to be starting for the Reds."

I apologize if Germans. You'll have to link the thread where you've already posted this info. I didn't remember seeing it.

Do you guys remember when we kicked off Adron Chambers from our football team and then he went on to win a WS with the Cardinals? He didn't even play a second of baseball for us either. We are Miss. State.

''Right now, we're going to start spring training and Billy will lead off,'' manager Bryan Price said, adding, ''There's a long way to go before we make season-long commitments to anything.''

I missed your Roy Oswalt retirement post. But I guess that wasn't newsworthy.**

In other news, Monta Ellis had 11 pts and 7 TOs last night. Did you know Jonathan Bender is an inventor?**
