So by now I’m sure a lot of y’all have heard the story about the IMG at “Bishop Sycamore” game in Ohio…. Thoughts?

I’m originally from Ohio and had never heard of them when I turned on the game yesterday… Had to look them up to see where they were even located
I watched the game, and the ESPN crew was having problems with discussing information about the program. They had nothing. 
They are an online only charter school. The joke here is on ESPN and their vetting process.
Guys I know a lil about espn programming. Most of what you see that is high school sports on espn is produced by 3rs parties like paragon and another group called 3 step sports. Espn needs content out the wazzu so these folks produce content under the espn name as a white lable brand. No one in the general public knows this so it all looks like espn until something like this happens. When LeBron was in hs I produced some of his games along with other hs stars like Lou Williams, Monta ellis and others. We would often pitch these to espn and the old fox sports regional divisions. This is embarrassing for espn.

They lost their first 2 games by 96-0.
Their 2nd game was in the Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, OH. Four of their remaining away games are in Paintsville, KY, Duncanville, TX, Baltimore, and Chester, VA. Somebody seems to have a lot of influence and is putting a lot of money into this.

I agree but also amazed at how IMG got played?? Huge embarrassment for them as well. At some point I assume they watched film on them right? No red flags popped up?
This isn;t on ESPN. As noted above this was through GEICO sponsored 3rd party promoter. ESPN just supplied the TV, and commentators. They dont vet the teams. The 3rd party that built the HS sports block for GEICO is responsible for this. Not so much of the fact of is Bishop Sycamore a legit school, but how would they be matched up against IMG. Pretty reasonable research and vetting could lead you to the top 30-35 programs in American pretty easily, and knowing who IMG is and how they beat up on top FL powers regularly should have sounded the alarm to folks planning.
Still on ESPN in my eyes. Extreme Ownership mentality. No different than my company employing a sub-contractor who doesn't perform. Ultimately, it's my job to make sure it goes well.
Its no different than a sub-contractor in construction. The GC might not have done the work but its his guy that he gave the work to and the buck stops with the GC if you are the owner or owner's rep!

New report says none of the kids were under 19 years old.
IMG Killed them. 58-0. Elite highschool players on one team are better than some small to mid size colleges.
I see they posted something on Twitter trying find games and I see they had Chambers on the schedule. I find it interesting and also does their HC have a active warrant n some of these players have already graduated HS.

LOL Tigers do not belong in my alphabet. I like watching Zamir White from the Dawg Pound though. As you know he attended Scotland High School. I missed the game but they didnt play him too much.
You have "online" basketball schools all over NC. They bring kids in from all over, house them in apartments, take courses online in church basements, and play travel basketball all year. Then give them selves a academy name and play the other outlaws during the school year. Then the basketball internet gurus give them appearance money to attend their events. Many of them in the Charlotte area but there spreading.
Yea never heard of these type schools? Is this a real thing? Online classes in highschool? When I was playing 80s, you had to be present in school all day to be able to play in the game that evening?
