Only good thing about pearl jam playing the bash would be them getting booed off the stage as soon as vedder went into an impromptu 10 minute political speach......which he is known to do.

The Black Crowes are THE best Rock N Roll band since the 70's. That Shake Your Moneymaker, Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, Amorica, and Three Snakes and One Charm was one helluva run. Southern Harmony and Musical Companion is a top 5 album all time. Hopefully this is a start of good things to come for Starkville! Also Blackberry Smoke will be in Starkville a week after this show!
Was not a fan of the Crowes (except a couple songs) until I saw them live a few years ago at the Beau Rivage. Glad I did because it completely changed my mind on them. I had no idea how bad *** they were.
I may have to infiltrate Stark Vegas that weekend to go see them. Plus, I've never been to BDB and always heard it was a blast.

Always regret not going to the concert in the Ampitheatre when I was in high school @ '93 or so.

I can see how someone may (possibly) not think they're special based off their studio albums...cannot stress the "may" enough...but their live act is in-damn-credible.

That was a great concert... High as the Moon Tour(and I sure was that night)....
Couldn't get much better than this for the Bash....
Black Crowes are meh..... Until they get a good band like Nickelback, REM, or Radiohead I will not be happy.

Nicklelback? You can't be serious man! Nickelback is one of the worst things to ever happen to music.
I was there and I have never seen so much pot being smoked in my life. Great concert from what I remember Amphitheater isn't used enough for events like this in my opinion.
Jackie Green has been playing with them since this spring when Luther went back to NMAS.

complain about the Black Crowes but suggest a better band like Nickelback? That's like saying "American cars are not as reliable as Asian cars, that's why I bought a Daewoo."
