Black Friday looming large for both Iowa and Nebraska

Game's in Lincoln, by definition it is YOU who must come and get some. Yesssssssssssss, first to find something to argue with you about.......
Just my opinion, this game will mean a whole lot more to Iowa win or lose than to NU. Now, I still want us to win the game, just like every other game. But, I don't see NU vs Iowa as a true rivalry game.
Hopefully you can sell out your Senior Day next week and shot at first 11-0 in school history.

I do. Man, I really do. I've bought in completely on this rivalry. As much as I miss the days of OU, Mizzou, and CU...the Iowa game is starting to be up there for me.
I consider you guys a rival. I was just commenting on the other guys need to tell us we aren't a rival. People use it as a insult. Like our whole existence is to be Nebraska's rivals.
It's without a doubt developing into a rivalry, but these things do need time.

When you are playing good though, its nice to keep that mojo going from week to week.
Your entire fan base will be in complete meltdown and you would be right there with them - oops sorry you would be right here with us telling us how you consider us rivals but Iowa as whole does not dwell on NU as a rivalry
I hear ya. The people who won't recognize Iowa as a rival are the same people that day dream about us playing Oklahoma every year again, even though we haven't played them every year in almost 20 years. I love what Nebraska-Iowa is becoming.
This is one of those years that we could look back and say, "that game really elevated the rivalry." I like this new tradition for Iowa. We use to rotate Minnesota and Wisconsin at the end of the year. This is pretty hard to beat though. Black Friday vs a real name brand of a program, hell yes.

I feel like MSU is more of a rivalry.
A couple years ago it was Wisconsin. Lol. Look man, we don't give a **** what you consider it, we are playing for a BIG 10 championship and a spot in the CFP. That is more important than any rivalry. You could be Purdue and we don't care, because being unbeaten is the most important thing.
I meant no insult. If we win, we're 0.500 for the season. I took "Looming Large" in your thread title as in a game of epic proportions and profound consequences. While the consequences may be profound for Iowa, it's just another game to me. Don't get me wrong, I want us to win, but our season is nothing to brag about.
If I consider "outsiders" that post on this board, it seems like it's mostly Iowa people. I think to myself, why do these Iowa people keep posting on here?
As far as Oklahoma, I don't care about them either.
I think there is a lot of appeal on both sides, no matter if they want to admit it or not. Time will tell. For what its worth though, the games are highly competitive.
We failed to make a bowl in 2007...so while it is a streak, it's not like we haven't missed a bowl in awhile.
Oh, I must have heard it in correctly. I thought they said Nebraska was about to do something that hadn't happened since the 50s or 60s. And it wasn't the attendance thing.
Unfortunately, NU has done a lot of things that haven't happened since the 50's or 60's recently.
I can't deny that either. This will give us our first taste of what Riley and company can cook up after their first bye as coaches. If anything it's one week healthier.

This has become a very close series and it could easily be determined by a field goal.

Actually I do, I believe Iowa will run the ball in the hopes of controlling the clock keep it a low scoring game especially if the weather is blustery.
