I live in Eastern Ky, love my visits to West Virginia. Like it or not it's pretty much the same as Eastern Ky. I'll ignore your obvious jealousy of our Cats, because your the fan of a program that won't win a National Championship in basketball or football in our lifetime. Keep bashing us! It's all fun right?

At least we have a reason to watch sports other than basketball. Lets face it, your school is absolutely irrelevant in football, while we have a rich history in both major sports. And lets not kid ourselves, it is not like your basketball team is filled with actual student athletes. They are guns for hire and part of what has gone very wrong with college basketball. It has to be somewhat empty to be a fan of a team that can only surprise its fans by losing.
In all accuracy...UK did win a National Championship in Football in 1951, beating Oklahoma. They also have 10 Team national Championships in all sports combines, not even counting the "sport" of cheerleading, which they have won (I believe) National champonships in 1985, 1987, 1988, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2014. So They do have more than BBall. They just hang thier hat on that. I'd also suggest if they left the SEC....they'd have a better Football record.
As long as we are digging that deep, the WVU rifle team has won 17 National Championships, including the last 3. This is quite impressive considering they even beat the service academies. And we will not even compare football teams. Make all the excuses you want but WVU's history is much richer.

WVU I respect because both basketball and football programs are normally above average. But to say ya have a rich tradition in football is stretching it. I mean your not Alabama, Ohio State, Auburn, USC or even the likes of Tennessee or Georgia. Comparing the tradition of WVU football to UK basketball is stretching it a a lot, common... Just being real. It might seem as though I dislike WVU, however it's quiet the opposite. I enjoy both your major programs.
That's a solid list of football schools with a rich tradition. If wvu would pay their players like those, (I think the majority on that list have been disciplined by the ncaa for booster payments and/or infractions) then maybe our tradition would be a little stronger. Of course, we have our own infractions with working computer software correctly and phone calls, so we need to step up our game in the infraction dept to get more tradition.
Seriously as much as we hate it when pitt fans pull that incest stuff on us, why aould we do it to anyone else?

WVA is a great team pulled for u guys VS MD if their best player doesn't go down UK would be playing MD BUT GLA D WE GET THE CHANCE to try and beat WAV and that press, I guess we will just throw over it like we have done ALL year ,the faster the game the better the odds to go 37-0 !
