Not sure which day, but Cohen says that Stratton or Routt could be losing their spot. Why sit one of them? Just set those 3 as your starters for the weekend. The concern is who can you turn to in the bp except for Reed that you feel comfortable with Norris, Jones?

if Pollorena starts then Girodo is going to have to contribute more. Mitchell should see more innings after the way he played yesterday. I doubt Cohen actually takes Stratton out of the starting rotation.

need our starters to put together some quality starts. I can't recall a quality start since Stratton in Arkansas, and he got left in too long in that one.

I dont give a rats *** who starts this weekend. Just get us 5-6 quality innings so that we dont have to trot 7 pitchers out there to finish a damn game.

Pollo has been, by far, our most consistent long reliever this season. I say give him a shot. He was a starter last year in JUCO.

...Routt has been pretty solid. They've had a quick hook with him, which is I am sure partially due to his injury. I just don't see what he's done to get the hook.

Stratton on the other hand has done enough. Grasping at straws, but I might try Luis on Friday, Routt on Saturday and Stratton on Sunday. Or move Routt to Friday, Luis on Saturday and start Graveman Sunday and pull Stratton out of the pen. I don't know what you do at this point.

It sure would be nice to have a settled rotation instead of playing musical chairs every weekend, but we obviously haven't performed well enough for that.

It sounds to me that he is going to move one or both and put Pollorena in the rotation. I don't think he will take either Stratton or Routt out of the rotation, he's just going to move them back.

I think it's a good move- Stratton seems to pitch better once he gets a day to see the other team live. Routt just hasn't been able to give us more than four consistently. Put him on Sunday, and then we have a good match up for us. I don't care for moving Pollorena because it weakens our bullpen. But, at the same time, we still have Reed, Girodo has been pitching a lot better, we have Devin Jones, Graveman who has also pitched better lately aside from yesterday, Norris, and Stark. Evan Mitchell also pitched well yesterday, too.

If I had to guess, I bet it's going to look like this:

Fri- Pollorena
Sat.- Stratton
Sun.- Routt

I called this.. I think Cohen used this staff to win 1 game against the top flight teams in the league, but now that we're against some lesser teams we can afford to move Pollorena into the rotation.

Pollorena can give us 7 innings on Friday. Or more. That would help the bullpen out. Pollorena could be his own closer. But, again, that's the only thing that concerns me about this- is weakening the bullpen.

of our pitchers don't have yet. He's emotional, he's fiery, maybe he's got a chip on his shoulder due to his size. I don't know, but I feel confident when he pitches that he can hold teams at bay.
