Jeans, I hear ya, but look at it this way. Bo had a known problem with his temper here at Nebraska, which contributed to his firing. It hasn't changed in a new venue, which some are pointing out with this picture. I would contend, however, that if the girl wasn't in the background clutching her chest, this thread may not have even started. I am sure Bo has had an outburst or two in the other two games he lost, but we didn't see any evidence of it in picture form. What makes this thread work is the girl's reaction to Bo's rant...

I have learned way more about Bo this week at Youngstown than about our game at Minnesota. I was tired of it on Monday but was told this will be around for a few years...at least. So, jeans15, you might as well just give in. Come and bash Bo with the rest of us...tell how he destroyed our program...tell how he is destroying YSU...talk about the counseling our players need...learn about the intricacies of 1aa...you will fit right in.

My theory is that Bo is really in trouble at YSU. Not only does he have his murderous rampages that will turn people off, but he can't stop the run. At the 1aa level most of the good teams want to run it right at you...even the teams that pass often don't do it that well. Unless he gets a 1aa-type Suh, he won't be there long.

Don't act surprised when people consider this trolling... Because this is exactly what you are doing here.

This may be the free board, but we will not tolerate "open season" on a coaching staff 7 games into their first season. If it's year 7 and we have one player running for 5 million yards on us, zero conference titles, etc etc then I can understand. You forgot losing the last 2 to lowly Minnesota, while Riley was blowing them out. So Riley is 3-4 after 7 games in his first year, and Bo was 4-3 in the same period, against arguably an easier schedule, and with better players at his disposal. He also got destroyed by Missouri.

I'm fine shutting down the talk about Bo, but let's also realize that Bo sucked his first half of his first season too. He was actually 5-4 at one point.

First off, I was saying we cant be bragging that we havent got blown out when we gavent played stellar teams. He almost beat Illinois St. Second, you are correct...as do a lot of coaches...he also pulled off wins against top tier opponents and/or was in it to the end. All Im saying is we better not be tooting our horn until the end of the year. Also, it was all Special Teams and Turnovers that caused those points...not defense...they only have up 334 yards...so yea I still think the defense was ok.

Really good post. If I may add one more thing and this appears to be the main disconnect between the fighting factions and that is shouldn`t we all love the Nebraska program
more than any head football coach? Until you can see the difference we will always have those that think the coach is bigger than Nebraska. Therein lies the problem.

Do you perhaps see the underlying BO Pelini Pattern here? He also can not stop the run at YSU his team is (not surprisingly) ranked in the bottom half of FCS teams in run D. His team is also terrible on special teams which helped contribute to the loss. He has gotten bad QB play as well, aka non developed. Do you not see another pattern here? He has already called out the Ytown fans so far, and then told a blatant lie in his last press conference by saying he cant remember EVER being this embarrassed after a game (as if Gordons 408 in 3 quarters and 50 plus points they put up on us was conveniently erased from his memory.)

Bo is a dud, he is poison, and he tried to leave NU by burning us and turning the kids against the program on his way out the door, all the while leaving with 7 mil in his pocket. It takes a special kind of A hole to do something like that. I will NEVER grow tired of bagging on Bo and I hope that the FCS teams keep running trains on him because frankly he certainly deserves it for his arrogance and his behavior.

I couldn't agree more. The Nebraska program is bigger than the head coach. When we denigrate the previous head coach we are making him bigger than the Nebraska football program. When we are so critical of the current head coach without giving him the opportunity to recruit his team for the next couple of years the same is true.

I think that most of us on this board want Riley and company to be successful. The Minnesota game showed what this team is capable of doing. Defensively we are improving (even with all the injuries) and the OC called a great game. Banker has been able to take away the run from teams that were able to run over us previously. I am looking forward to the rest of the season hopefully talking about the future of Nebraska football instead of what an A**hat the previous coach was.

Wiscy had him figured out, but think about it this way (this is why I cant stand Banker as our dc) a team that gave up all those yards in one game...finished the year at 51st in total defense...right now...there is no way in heck we get there. I understand your point about being frustrated with that game, but Bos puppet Papuchis was a better dc than Banker...and none of us liked him. Everybody that is hooting and hollering about stopping the run baffles me. Its like we want so badly to be happy about the defense that we will focus on only one side of it. Not hate just irritated. Weve had this discussion Rover. I cant stand the double standard and the "we cant let go of bo so we have to constantly bash on him". Fact is I have seen more Boleavers hang on to the hate longer than the bolievers hang on to the defense. Right now it looks like we got the short straw. I would like to wait til the end of the year and if Banker cant figure it out he needs to go. If not Riley is no better than Bo with Papuchis.
