I am just not convinced at that . Mitchell offensively depended a lot on the QB who while had some real good receivers and could pass was a scrabble quarterback who ran a lot and actually had his best passes while scrabbling, he got a high ankle sprain in the Polk game the following week he didn't have to run much the next game just pass and hand it off but when playing a team like East Surry needed to be 100% and I just like to have seen him gotten the chance to have played that game healthy he ran 78 yards and passed 162 playing 50 to 60% on the sidelines he could barely walk and part of the second half had cracked ribs and still barley lost the game. So if had been healthy and they'd won that game I don't why when ES blew out Tarboro while barely beat Mitchell with a QB running half speed that it's thought that Mitchell couldn't have beaten them if he had been healthy.

Tarboro fumbled the ball 5 times and turned it over 4 times. ES capitalized each time. If Tarboro turns the ball over 4 times in a game against high caliber competition (I would include last years Mitchell team with a healthy QB in that list) then they would probably lose assuming the competition limited their turnovers.
I will give credit to ES defense forcing turnovers and their offensive line giving Boaz plenty of time to find receivers. Best passing team I have ever seen in 1A.
Mitchell would not have beaten tarboro and East surry should have beaten them by 20 , I don’t know understand but east played lazy ball that nite , I think this year Mitchell falls short again big or small . I think tarboro meets East again and tarboro wins . No way tarboro East surry Murphy robbinsville is ranked below Mitchell and it will show year ending .Mitchell has had some good little teams last few seasons just not championship level .

No I don't think Mitchell is #1 and frankly with all the talent that graduated we wasn't even sure what kinda of team they would have. As far as not championship level that depends on what level in 2015 having to play a Wallace Rose team that probably could have won small 2a that year but I believe and so did some players who stayed and watch it would have won small 1a that year. As far as last year I watched them all year and knew what the QB Noah was capable of. I can't prove it and you can't prove it otherwise it's just options that and everyone is entitled to their own and mine is a healthy full speed Noah Mitchell beats ES by 14.
Mitchell was also short WR and safety Tyler McKinney for the entire 4th quarter with cramps. He was the second best if not the best athlete on Mitchell’s team and he burned East for TD early and several other big plays.
Lazy? Lowman was outcoached in every facet of the game that night. It took every last drop of talent that the transfer allstars had to win against a gimpy bunch of plow mules from the top of a mountain.

If 2019 mitchell plays Tarboro I think Tarboro wins 35-21 a score similar to that. If mitchell's quarterback was hurt like y'all said then Mitchell would have been at a disadvantage. As for the state title game East Surry was better than us that night we simply had no answers for that offense. I will say this though IMO if we don't turn the ball over 4 times that game goes down to the wire but I still think we would have came up short.
Mitchell wins the coin toss tonight, they will be seeded as conference champs, Polk will be seeded as a wild card.

You really need to just stop talking, because its just getting sad. You had every conceivable break go your way in that game, 3 missed picks by East, 1 of which would've been returned for a touchdown at the end of the first half, the other that was knocked into the air that you were lucky to pull down and score on among other things. You caught a flat team (who had been flat the entire playoffs until the final), caught every break, and who didn't open up the play book until the championship game and still lost. Except it and move on. The 1 transfer that they had has been explained several times on here, so no point on going over it again.
You have a great program and maybe you finally get it done this year. I will be one of the first to congratulate you if you go through East or who ever else to do it. But, I am just kind of over the constant bashing you give East Surry because you think you know us, when you honestly don't.
East transfer he sat out his sophomore year he did his time! He has almost 2500 yard in receiving his Junior and senior year!
You didn't have one transfer.. Landon Stevens (North Stokes), Issac Washington (Mount Airy) and Joshua Joyce (Mount Airy) were all transfers. Stevens and Washington were 2 of your 5 best players.
The Gosnell Brothers both transferred out and the transferred back after going to Carrol County. Just saying. Great exciting game last night. Congrats to the Cards
