The purpose of the interview was for Bond to plug a non-profit corporation he is putting together in honor of his late son, Andrew, who was killed in a car accident. Bond is working to get the corp qualified for 501(c)(3) status. It will be called "Andrew's Mission." Apparently Andrew was a solid kid that was passionate about evangelical mission trips around the world and went on many such trips. Said he's working to get the website up as well. Wants to send kids on mission trips in Andrew's honor.

Bond closed by confirming that he will be back on 97.7 in the near future to "play the tapes" and give the naysayers "something to talk about."

Said he backed out of the HBO deal in order to avoid "crazy publicity."

don't know how I could ever deal with, BUT

the "avoid crazy pub" part baffles me a little... newsflash bond...the publicity is already here and somebody messed up with the delivery that has a story that does not always put MSU in the best light... depending on whose "facts" one is relying on for that given day...


this **** is starting to bother me a little.. I don't know the inside scoop on all of it but either someone individually or everyone involved collectively botched the delivery in one way or the other... people do misspeak and forget and when you do it can come across as lying when it was just a brain fart... go over the facts and make sure all are on the same page before you go public and/or to the NCAA..... and for God's sake why do you give that *** wipe slive ANY thing to sling at us when you know what he thinks about MSU..

These tapes need to be heard. I don't think Bond cares if the tapes bury Auburn or not as long as it clears up the national (miss) perception of our side of the ordeal. What would Bond stand to gain by lying about what is on these tapes? I keep reading posters on here and BDJ saying that Bond just needs to shut his pie hole. To them I say 17 you! Bond needs to put it out there and let ESPN or whoever run it on the 24 hour news cycle. The **** needs to just come out already.
