"There also could be a tape of Cecil Newton and Kenny Rogers that, if
what Rogers is saying on it is true, could be very damaging to
Mississippi State. The story could come undone if Rogers decides to not
appear, which at this point is still to be determined."

Yeah, the HBO thing could be why he is starting to talk. The **** with the SEC is about to hit the fan. Former AU player Kenny Irons just tweeted:

"@IamKennyIrons23: Man I hope the Auburn news I just heard about, a past Auburn player releasing some damaging information on an ntervew with Bryant Gumbel HBO [is not true]"

A bit later:

"@IamKennyIrons23: Dayum the things some ppl would do for money! a Univ. that payed ur way thru college & u turn u back and blackball"

Our AD is comfortable with the situation and has given their blessing to Bond to continue talking. Otherwise, we'd be releasing official statements distancing ourselves from Bond's dumb *** if he was out there talking crap recklessly.

The fragile MSU supporting side of me says Bond, Rogers, Bill Bell, etc. are all morons and we are about to get a heavy reminder of where we are on the SEC/NCAA totem pole.

he's about to go from one of my favorite Bulldogs to my least favorite in about .03 seconds. My opinion is if you got something to say, say it in private to those concerned, and stay clear of the national media. We already saw how everything was spun against us the first time around, and all we did we report that Cecil pimped his son.

</div><div>2) if we go down, i hope we drag everything we can out on the rest of the sec and burn the ++@%%% down swc style</div>

High school was at a place called Central Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, GA (about 30 minutes north of Atlanta), then to Auburn for four years. OK, five years. Alright, five years and a quarter, but I did graduate. About halfway through my junior year I changed majors from Journalism to English and in the stroke of a pen about 60 hours that counted towards my degree instantly became electives. My final quarter at Auburn I served my teaching internship at Notasulga High School and also coached offensive line for the Blue Devils
from the More about Chuck Oliver link on his blog.

I didn't miss ****. I was referring to Bama not State because we all know the State story. You need to realize I'm the only person on here who cares what you have to say because I usually agree with you.

I know, I know, Cam escaped any penalties because he allegedly had no knowledge what his father was doing. If you can prove Cam DID have knowledge, then he should have been ineligible and perhaps missed a few games.

But he's gone. Do you go back and make Auburn forfeit for unwittingly using an ineligible player? Maybe they would, but that doesn't seem fair at all. Not only did Auburn have no way of knowing Cam was ineligible, but they also relied on the result of an NCAA investigation stating that he WAS eligible. Unless you can show Auburn did something wrong in the whole thing, it doesn't seem right to punish them at this point.

Now, what about this claim that tapes between Kenny and Cecil could be harmful to MSU? I honestly don't think there's anything to it. The worst thing that could be on those tapes would be Kenny saying that he has the money lined up, or that he and Cecil had already received some money. If that is true, that is brand new information. I'm pretty sure that if anyone at MSU knew money had been paid, then they would have reported that to the NCAA and Cam would have been declared ineligible. NCAA said in December there was no evidence that Cecil received any money from MSU or Auburn.

So, if Kenny said something like that, and IF it turns out to be true, then someone's been hiding something. MSU would get some sanctions, but they wouldn't be that bad. Rogue booster(s), hidden from the University despite a full investigation, and then we didn't even sign the kid involved.

I do think Auburn should be concerned about MSU paying Cecil, though. That is way more damaging than Cam simply knowing that Cecil was asking for money.

They said he backed out because he was upset with "sports by brooks" and how he portrayed him. Im assuming the "Bond to tell all if Cam gets pass" article.
