I would really like to see him go to a team that can use him.

Browns have always been interested in him. The fact that they only really have Willis makes it more likely he ends up there.

Will probably end up being cut and picked up on waivers.

I don't understand why San Fran won't use him more. I know gore is there but Dixon does good every time he gets the ball. I'd love to see him get 20 carries in one game and not just in goal line situations. I remember his first year in preseason and he showed out, led all rushers in preseason the when season comes around they barely use him. IMO he would be a great steal. A great back for little money.

I wouldn't say every time, he has a career 3.2ypc. And 2.4 this year. I agree he probably could get significant minutes elsewhere though.

Coughlin/Giants like big bruising backs and are struggling at depth. Meanwhile they are also doing awful and there's rumors of shopping Nicks. Maybe a Nicks for Dixon, another player, and draft picks?

Bull. He's used it short yardage situations, but him running through a stuffed box doesn't have anything to do with it (he doesn't only run through a box, he usually gets show string tackled after 3). Dixon is a good back, but he's never going to break through. I think he would have average stats (say that in a good way) if he was given legit carries in non-**** situations, and a lot of other average backs can do more than him (catch and run fast). He'll always be my favorite player, but he won't ever have a significant NFL career as a back. He could Chris White the ***** and work his way up to special teams captain though.

They like the small backs. Gore, Hunter, and they also have LaMichael James. I have liked having one of my favorite players at State playing for my favorite NFL but I wish he could go somewhere and play because I think he could really contribute in the running game.

It means there's few teams interested and they won't get much for him but they are going to have to move players because all of the guys like Manningham and Crabtree are going to come off the injured list soon.

The Titans could use him. Munchack has wanted a power run game to complement Johnson, and Shonn Greene has been injured all year. They have Jackie Battle on the roster too, but I can't recall him being very effective of late.

his YPC's are pretty misleading though as well considering a reasonable percentage of his very few carries have come on the goal line or running up the gut to get a first

And Lattimore. He's basically sitting out a redshirt year on the IR.

The Ravens could use him. They tried to get Beanie Wells, but settled for ex-Bengal Bernard Scott, when Wells tore his achilles in a workout. Ray Rice has been injured much of the year.

It is about damn time

He was just a hype man in San Fran. And by that I mean he did not have a large on-field roll. Granted, he had backs that know how to tote the rock a little better ahead of him.

But hopefully he will now get a real chance to make a difference. Tennessee would be alright. On paper he could be a good change-of-pace back (though he tends to try and make everyone miss rather than drag them or run them over for extra yardage).

We'll see... hope he finds a good home where he can contribute from the RB position.
