Hey, y'all, I'm back to shamelessly promote my book, "Champions for Change: How the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Their Bold Coach Defied Segregation." Thanks for putting up with me.

I've added another event to the upcoming weekend in Starkville: I'll be at Strange Brew Coffeehouse from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday signing books. Add that to the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. event on Sunday at Restaurant Tyler. Given the late Saturday kickoff, I thought it would make sense to have a mid-afternoon signing on Saturday to accommodate folks driving in, and Shane was nice enough to give me space there.

Both of these signings are come-and-go events -- i.e., I'm not doing a reading or Q&A or anything fancy like that. So drop in if you'd like, say hello, and leave as soon as you get tired of me.

(And yes, I will accept credit cards. PayPal is an amazing thing.)

Also, if you've pre-ordered copies at my website, start checking your mail. I dropped off a dolly full of shipments at the downtown post office here Tuesday morning.

Nashville folks, we're working to nail down details for me to appear at your alumni chapter's Oct. 20 football game watch party. So look out for that.
