I had really expected Kelly Akharaiyi to have a bigger impact, considering his production prior to coming here. Hope he's back and able to contribute more next year. Definitely welcome Booth back as he was fairly solid, though I'd really like to see Gayten get a lot more touches next year.

They are going to have to reverse the Pavia ruling, or give all JUCO players the same benefit. This is insane. Not only did Pavia get another year, he also got to PLAY in 2020, while guys like Akhari redshirted. It's plumb insanity to give Pavia another year and not everybody, this is going to be his 6th 17ing year of PLAYING/STARTING, not just eligibility.

Of course if you aren't getting NIL, and have no NFL aspirations (which you likely don't if you're a 6th year player), you may not want to mess with it. Lot of time and effort goes into playing football.

Good news because our RB and WR rooms are suddenly looking pretty thin after out the outgoing transfers.

This whole roster still feels like it's on very shaky ground for next season. We've now at least got some bodies at QB, safety, and LB, but I'm not sure that there's a single position group that you can point to and say... now that one's ready for SEC ball next season

especially WR. Hopefully we sign some more transfers.

I liked Guyton when healthy. What's the status on Davis?

Looking over the roster, WR, DL, and CB all were still pretty thin. Looked like S and LB made up a quarter of the team.

OL numbers were picking up but unproven. Even Randy Thomas took about 1/2 a season to get adjusted from Juco to Sec. Yep, I'm that old.

some guys are just going to max out at the college level, let them play until they are 48

I'd hope with a full year off that he'll be ready to go next year... assuming he doesn't hit the portal too. If he comes back at full strength that gives our running game a speed element we did not have last year.

Main reason is because you're taking opportunities away from younger players.

These COVID clowns have more than made up for having 2020 ruined. They need to GTFO of the way.

I've never thought of it that way, but you are right. It is keeping the younger players down in some respect.

From a lunch conversation - this will never stand long term but it could be used for 2025 which will help us with these 2 players.

I thought Johnny Daniels was plenty fast enough. I've heard before the start of the season that Davis's recovery is not going as well as planned. Hopefully that's changed.

I loved Davis but im confident enough in Daniels.

would be amazing to have Booth back though.
