Not even sure why this would be necessary for season tix holders. I'm sure plenty of emails will go out to us. But OF COURSE I completed and submitted it. My guess is our game will conflict with the BBall game at the Rock .

Best guesstimate on where we land?
Right now we’re 4th place in the East.
A lot of football left to play.
Maryland and Iowa are beatable.
This team is still improving.
Will teams come out of the west with better records, (Better bowl opportunities)?
What bowl game do you think we go to?

Pinstripe.

It’s just about a done deal once we got to 6 wins.

Even with 7-8 wins?
Minny went at 8-4 last year while Wisky got to go to the old Insight at 6-6.

We haven’t been there yet as a B1G school and their deal with the Conference is 8 different schools for this contract.

Nebraska can go to Bronx. They have a legit chance to win 6-8 games.

Given the pent-up demand by Rutgers fans, maybe they'll give us Vegas or Nashville. But I do feel like we'd need one more win. Here's hoping.

Still predicting Pinestripe...Minny going to Detroit, Maryland going to Nashville, Iowa to Vegas..

https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/bowls/predictions/
Some of that is wrong, as I thought JMU couldn’t go to a bowl yet?

I don’t think getting to 7 matters as I think it’s Pinstripe for many of the reasons already mentioned.

But do agree the Music City would have a huge turnout by us.

Absolutely this. We bring zero dollars to the Pinstripe Bowl. We are the only B1G team with a Bowl game in it’s backyard {other than Detroit..don’t think you will ever see MSU play there}. Let a “traveling “ team bring the tourist dollars to NYC. Our pent demand for hosting Bowl cities must have $ome con$ideration……..

Edited to add NY6 bowls will likely take more B1G teams Options are open in my opinion.

Pinstripe picks 5th out of 7 B1G bowls. And assuming Michigan/OSU winner makes playoff it's really 6th.

This is the order

If B1G makes playoff:
1. Rose Bowl semi final
Likely 2 B1G at large bids between Fiesta/Peach/Cotton
2. Citrus Orlando (no Purdue)
3. Reliaquest Tampa (no Illinois)
4. Music City Nashville (no Iowa)
5. SRS Las Vegas (no Wisconsin)
6. Pinstripe (no Minnesota)
7. Guaranteed Phoenix (no Wisconsin)
8. Quick Lane Detroit

If B1G doesn't make playoff:
1. Orange Bowl Miami (and we lose Reliaquest)
Likely 2 B1G at large bids between Fiesta/Peach/Cotton
2. Citrus Orlando (no Purdue)
3. Music City Nashville (no Iowa)
4. SRS Las Vegas (no Wisconsin)
5. Pinstripe (no Minnesota)
6. Guaranteed Phoenix (no Wisconsin)
7. Quick Lane Detroit

So hoping for B1G in playoff and more wins for us we have a shot at Nashville or Vegas.

I read, and could be wrong, Tampa is ACC/SEC this year?

Also, we have been to Detroit as a B1G school so hopefully that is plus.

Pretty sure you're forgetting about NY6 slots. Mich/OSU/PSU will all be either in a playoff slot of an NY6 game.

You are correct thanks. At large NY6 bids for fiesta peach and cotton are up for grabs which will also help us move up in the pecking order hopefully.

We need a red Block R stamp to put on all our receipts and cash if we go somewhere other than the Pinstripe.

Small, not too big. Just enough to get noticed.
That’s peanuts compared “visiting “ fans staying in hotels and dining in restaurants for several days. Although Stan’s on River Rd. in the Bronx says thanks .

Might be easier to distribute sheets of tiny red R stickers. But the idea is excellent.

So I’m not sure if this matters or not but the BIG is contracted to a major hotel in NYC already, and has been for years, while the ACC is contracted to another large one, they can’t get out of those contracts

This game doesn’t draw many fans from any BIG school into NYC. Minny fans were vastly outnumbered by Cuse fans last year. The year before I believe MSU was the representative and also didn’t travel well. One team from the BIG that has traveled really well to this game was RU, despite being so close

The stickers can’t really be placed on cash. Not even really supposed to stamp anything either but that might be easier to pull off.

Same for credit card receipts.

But probably didn’t use the allotment allocated for the hotel.

We didn’t travel, just went to the game. There’s a difference.

We go because we haven’t yet as a B1G school and the Pinstripe is higher on the pecking order.

What could help our chances is two B1G teams in the playoffs and some other schools have more recently been to some of the other bowls.🤞

I was going to create a separate thread for this but ...

What is the likelihood that more than 8 B1G teams become bowl-eligible and we/the conference shops around for other bowl tie-ins?

My original question was going to be, what's the over-under on B1G teams becoming bowl-eligible this year? Based on some of what we just saw this weekend, some programs that we may not have thought would win 6 just a week or two ago, now have a chance to do so. And, as such, it is possible that Pinstripe passes on RU and we go to Detroit or Phoenix instead. Although, Las Vegas, Nashville, and Orlando picking RU (instead of other "better-traveling" schools), may not be as likely.

Everyone needs to fill this out whether you have interest or not. No doubt that RU athletic office will send the results to various bowls to entice them “see, we will travel well” …

I thought you were going to use the stamp on CC receipts. Cash I agree, Red R stamp. But does anyone under 40 even carry cash anymore? LOL.

I remember some college did the cash stamp thing a bunch of years ago for a bowl game.

I think I can help with the R stamp.

I'll order one in Red.

Everyone sends me the cash they expect to spend for the bowl games. Include a stamped, self addressed envelope. I'll stamp all your money and send it back (minus a 20% stamping fee).

Easy Peasy.

Problem is we are “not traveling “.. driving in for the afternoon and then leaving. Not a Bowl experience for anyone. Basically an extra home game for Rutgers. Will we draw fans.. absolutely despite the lack of Bowl atmosphere, lack of tailgating, sh#t football venue, weather, etc.
