Bowl Predictions for MSU 2010

i could see an msu southern matchup in the liberty or papajohns bowl as a pretty good revenue maker for those two bowls because of location. I wouldnt like it, but itd be great for southern.
Papa Johns is simply not the title sponsor any more. The bowl game is still there, and until they find a new one it will be known as the Birmingham Bowl.
I'm sure they're corral someone into dropping some cash on it in exchange for a 30 for 30 episode on that company's highlights.
UT vs Memphis, Aub or Bama vs UAB, OM or MSU vs USM etc.. aren't allowed per the Liberty bowl's contract with the SEC
Yea, SEC teams are gonna refuse BCS games vs opponents they've already played.

It seems like some of the SEC bowls are getting stale with the same teams playing in them. I don't like the East/West tie ins. It would be nice to see an more East teams in the Peach or Cotton andmore West teams in the Music City or Outback.

but I did see an equitibly crappy game when we narrowly defeated ISU there...gawd, that bowl sucks...</p>
second-to-last in the pecking order behind Music City. Although since the Liberty started doing the CUSA-SEC matchup I don't think an SEC team has lost.
w/ a better record and LSU did go to the Cap One w/ that horrible field. I think its proximity and the bowl's desire to sell out. They don't seem to realize we can buy airline tickets in the south.
In that 30 year span, you averaged a Conference Championship almost every other year and a NC every 5. That's routinely dominant.
In the 1925-1949 span (25 seasons, going back further is pointless), you averaged a Conference Championship once every 3-4 seasons and a NC every 5*. That's routinely dominant.
From 1980-2009 (30 seasons), you averaged a Conference Championship once every 6 seasons and a NC every 15. And you can thank the 80's and 90's for that stat being as good as it is - more recent history is less kind as far as "routine dominance" goes. Don't get me wrong, I'd trade spots with you, but the 'Bama of today isn't my grandfather's 'Bama.

however, very, very, very few teams will ever be that dominate again....save, of course, my 2 year old niece's 'Bama team....

I agree about us not going to the Liberty again for the fact it will most likely be Houston. However, I dont think we will go to a bowl if we dont beat Houston

Damn I've looked at that schedule and I don't see a bowl. Money where your mouth is ladies. Understand that if you lose, you lose $50 per.</p>
will mean we did better this year than last and shows progress. Me, I'm hoping for Atlanta. Now, that would be 'real' progress. 8-4 + win over GA Tech in the Dome.

I actually think the Liberty will take Ole Miss this year unless USM goes. No way that Ole Miss will go to the Cotton Bowl three years in a row- because bowls don't like to do that.
I think that if we win seven, we could very well go to Nashville, possibly Memphis if SMU wins C-USA or someone other than Houston and USM. Eight wins probably means that we would either go to Nashville, Dallas or Atlanta depending on what happens to the other teams in the SEC.
The Egg Bowl could very well be to decide who goes to Memphis and who goes to Birmingham this year. I really think Memphis would take us if they could, unless they have an opportunity to take UT, which could be very possible this year.

I wouldn't mind going to Orlando agian. I went with a friend to the LSU/Penn State game and had a blast. I was really pulling for Penn State because of Ole JoePA. but that would be a treat going back down there for new years. Went to universal for the day then that night went to a dueling piano bar to ring in the new year and the game the next morning. AWESOME time.
Would be nice to have a non-respect the bell game in me planner... but other than that, Liberty Bowl would be nice. Pretty sure we (or at least I) drank enough beer last time to where they would welcome back our out of state dollars. Good venue and we have a decent alumni base there (which mean places to crash).
