Yeah it seems like every time he gets the ball, he tries to dribble and fumbles it out of bounds or someone picks his pocket.

Poor hands, poor strength, or....

both. May have small hands. But any contact and he loses the ball.

That... about sums him up.

We may have 7 scholarship players, but we really only have 5 worth scholarships in the SEC. Can't wait to see our team in 2 years when we actually have... a team.

This. Quote of the Year for our team. Not only do we have no depth numbers-wise, we have even less depth in terms of talent. Reminds me of a quote from a movie I watched as a kid.

"There's a thing called 'talent'. They don't have it."

Ray is doing a heck of a job with what little he has. Once he gets players, watch out.

We are playing with 3 freshman who will be excellent players by their junior year. Jacoby Davis is a real point guard, and would be starting had he not gotten injured.

No doubt I'm a total sap, but because this team typically plays so hard, I hate it when we talk about how unworthy some of them are for scholarships. These guys came to MSU to be Bulldogs. They practice and play for Ray, who I suspect is a pretty demanding coach. No doubt they hate losing more than we do. And then we talk about how they aren't a real team or worthy players.

It's not that you aren't factually correct or that I expect anyone to really quit saying it; it just seems shabby if you really love MSU and its programs. I feel like these guys may deserve our actual support more than any MSU basketball team in the last five years.

I feel more for this group of dawgs than any

except maybe JV/Randy/Turner.

All the way down to Baxter Price and Cunningham. It's not that guys like Roquez and Bloodman don't deserve schollys, it's that it's unfair to them if we expect 25 solid minutes a game from guys that are under-skilled and out of position.

It's not that we're criticizing them, it's more like we're making excuses for them - they have no business playing as much as they are, and that's nobody's fault. In an ideal situation, they would still get minutes, and those minutes would increase next year. As it stands, I expect them to greatly improve, and play much less next year.

Love the heart of the whole team.

Agreed and I apologize for anything too derogatory. I am a basketball nut. I scream like Hell at games. Get on our players when they screw up and basically can make a fool of myself. That being said, these guys play their hearts out and I love that. Ro played really well pre conference and I guess I just expect more out of him. I also expect more out of Jalen to be our leader. Bottom line: I knew we were gonna struggle mightily this season so I guess I should just keep my trap shut and admire the hustle these guys are playing with night in and night out.
