They can to pry jones away from Msu. Read today's cl article, it's sickening. Why can't they just say the guy wants to be at Msu and that is that. There is an agenda its obvious and I love the mention of "the faith based approach".
It may be awhile but the preachers day is coming with his tactics.

But...but I read on here from the kluckers that his coach hid him from EVERYBODY

but MSU.

“The reason I chose Mississippi State was because a year and a half ago when my coach was trying to get people to see me, they were the only ones to reach out to me,” Jones said. “No one ever came to show up but (MSU) and Southern Miss.”

This also caught my eye: Ole Miss has gone with a more “faith-based” approach....
Yeah, a faith based on letting the recruiting networks award stars then throwing out blanket orders without even considering whether the kid fits the program or not.

You're reaching. I see nothing wrong with that article. Actually is a compliment to MSU.

I agree railin, Marcello tricked me into reading it when he posted it on his twitter feed. Talty included that Jones was adamant about his commitment to MSU. He didn't say he was wavering. There was nothing wrong the story. It was actually fair and balanced.

As a fan base, we need to grow up. If we are to create change in the media, we can't cry wolf and racism at everything that is written. In fact, we should applaud when a fair article is written like it was today. That makes them want to write more articles like it. What Talty did yesterday was ridiculous, but hate te sin, not the sinner. Today's article was OK.

How would that work? "Instead of exploring the interesting aspects of a guy who didn't make the dandy dozen now becoming a 5 star #1 recruit in the state, we can assure our readership that he wants to be at msu and that's that. We will use this space for another rub and tug massage parlor ad."

No problem with it. It showed the Alabama assistant as kind of being an ***. It's an article about the #1 coveted state prospect, with several mentions about how he is commuted to MSU

I don't have a problem with that article. I thought it was pretty fair. The one thing that jumped out at me was out of the top 10 recruits in Mississippi, 6 are committed to MSU, 3 to UM, and 1 still has UM (and maybe MSU) in his final 2 or 3. Keeping those guys in state is good for both schools.

The more I read about Freeze, the more I think this could really come true

Does all his positioning really affect a recruit's decision to go to Ole Miss? I would think not, at least in the vast majority of cases.
