My only guess would be that we are recruiting a WR that they are and now that might make that WR look away from LSU. I have no clue who the WR would be though.

even less than Bruiser. He'll be along shortly to put in his 2 cents.

LaFell will be a senior next year anyway, so it's not like any WR recruit would spend his career backing him up. That doesn't mean it won't make a difference to some recruit, but if he thinks about it (I know that's a pretty big assumption), it really shouldn't matter much.

I know it can't be Reuben Randle, because we have no shot at him. If that's who you are referring to, then Lafell coming back only serves to help Bama.

However, I guess you could make a lot of assumptions and say Lafell comes back, so Randle goes to Bama over LSU, and therefore Patterson comes to Ole Miss over Bama, but that's probably stretching it.

And again, I do follow recruiting. I just don't buy into the rankings. Those are two separate things to most of us.

For the record, I think Randle goes to Bama either way, which may or may not lead to us landing Patterson. And I think Randle's decision will have nothing at all to do with Lafell. Rarely do wideouts make decisions based on current players on the roster, because so many wideouts get to play.

Still, for me Patterson falls to at least 3rd on my want list for the rest of our class. I want another OL (preferrably 6-8, 330 Bobbie Massie), Raymond Cotton (because I want a QB), and from there anything else we get is gravy.
