Baby steps. I don't know that that will ever pass. The way I look at this is its about 5 years passed due. Flowood and Pearl have left Brandon in the dust
If you mean that they have a bunch of chain restaurants, then sure. But Pearl will always be Pearl, Flowood will always be Flowood, and Brandon will always be better. We have a large population of people in the reservoir area who stretch logic by claiming Brandon addresses, when in fact they are nowhere near the city. There is a reason people didn't want Flowood addresses, which would make much more sense geographically.
But good for Brandon. I like the change.
nmBaptist churches to relocate to Puckett.

Keep your small mindedness, evidence why Brandon will always be Brandon...
pretty sure Brandon needs the reservoir population a great deal more than the reservoir needs Brandon.
Also, last I checked, Brandon's restaurants consisted (mostly) of sonic, mcd's, pizza buffets, etc. it's not like its New York City. They do have a shitload of car dealers, though.
The point was the 39047 areA decided to call itself Brandon rather than Flowood for a reason when Flowood makes more sense.
it said "39047 the Cool Brandon"
I need to find one!
honestly believe the Reservoir decided to use a Brandon zip code because Brandon is some paradigm of western civilization? As others have stated, it was for postal reasons.
Also, I'm not so sure that Brandon needs the Reservoir, but I KNOW the Reservoir doesn't need Brandon. Hell, I'd be willing to bet if you asked Brandon officials if they minded giving up the Reservoir tax base, they would flip their lid.
I have no doubt that there are a few restaurants in Brandon. I'm just pointingout the hypocrisy of someone bashing a place because it has fast foodrestaurants (in MS, go figure), when their town probably has a greater % offast food restaurants (in comparison).<o></o
I don't see how my original post was insulting to the Fake Brandon people. All I did was say that when their area was developed, Brandon was chosen over Flowood for a reason.
