I believe we're [MState receivers] the best in the SEC, to tell you the truth. We just don't have as much opportunity as other teams, with our situation and stuff. But I think we're probably like the top in the SEC.
Speechless.

I don't think we're [MState receivers] the best in the SEC, to tell you the truth. We just don't have as much opportunity as other teams, with our coach and staff. But I think we're probably like the worst in the SEC.

And since you guys are the best in the SEC, and you dont get the opportunities, its time to fire the head coach and get another. This man has not been able to find a way to utilize the best WR's in the SEC and he should be fired for it.

two brandon's defense, in my oppinion, he personally is within the top 3 best recievers in the sec....mark it down, he will start in the nfl.

I agree with you Geno. He is that protypical NFL WR, 6'4 200 with good speed and a really good route runner. He would be all SEC in some type of spread offense

A top 3 WR in the SEC would normally leave after his junior year.

Im assuming he will.

He averages 44 yards a game. There's 10 receivers I'd gladly take before McRae. You're insane.

Definitely first round talent no doubt, with his 4.3 speed and amazing hands... i think you could make the argument that he is better than Crabtree. He just isn't as fast, doesn't catch many passes, doesn't have as many yards, is way slower, plays for msstate, doesn't run as good of routes and plays for a marginaly successful offense...but other than that hes better no doubt

McRae is a solid receiver. He's the best we've had in quite some time. He's underutilized and would put up much better numbers in a decent offense.

All that being said, let's hold off on annointing him a top 3 WR in this conference and a sure fire NFL starter.

Best in the SEC as a unit? Don't think so.
And McRae is good, but he doesn't have top flight speed. How about Green, J Jones, Massaquoi, Harvin, McKinley, Byrd, Lafell, and probably Shay Hodge over McRae.

...Mr. McRae, your posse of WR's is not within 1,000 miles of possessing the talent of the WRs @ Georgia, Florida & even South Carolina, Ole Miss & Alabama.

I watch the early game & see you, Mr. McRae, & your posse of butter-fingered WR's run 5 & out routes on 3rd & 7; watch you all drop critical passes that hit y'all in the worst possible spot (ie, hands); watch you all continually screw up your routes.

Then I tune into the afternoon game & watch the Georgia WR's make circus catches; surf over & watch the Ole Miss WR run a true post pattern & catch the ball on a dead run & score a 65 yd TD without breaking stride; then surf over to watch the Florida's WR's school DB's with perfect route execution.

Mr. McRae, your posse wouldn't even be the best WRing crew in the Sunbelt conference.

Though you, Mr. McRae, have personally improved, just keep in mind there are about 9 SEC schools where you still would not crack the starting rotation as a WR.

obviously you took what i said and ran with it...noone would leave or declare eligible for the draft with his kind of stats....let's be honest, jerry rice in his prime could be on this team and wouldnt have better stats this year than mcrae....he can't throw himself the ball, not to mention we have no other real threat at reciever so teams can focus on him....in my oppinion, mcrae is an nfl reciever...hell, lance long is playing with the arizona cardinals and mcrae is 3 times the reciever long is....as bad as crooms offense is, and Lord knows its bad, i will say they run nfl plays and use nfl adjustments and nfl terminology......and since when was a 4.51 forty yard dash considered slow?...thats what he ran at a camp.

if mcrae traded places with anyone on that list (excepty harvin), their achiements would be reversed.....is a 4.51 not fast enough?

I see no downside to reading where Gene Swindoll disagrees with one of my takes.

.....we have the best receivers in the SEC, but "we just don't have as much opportunity as other teams"? Consider me stunned.

Sounds like the two halves of Brandon's brain are conflicting with one another. One half knows what we have, and the other half hears all the excuses given by his coaches and the likes of Jeanie Swindle.

you trade and put anyone one of these you named in mcrae's place this year and statistically they dont do any more than he has.....nfl speaking, jones and green are the only ones i would rank ahead of mcrae from your list

again, mcrae can't throw himself the damn ball....or it's not his fault for the stupid scheme of the offense that calls for a ton of 3 and out patterns.

you would seriously put mcrae over harvin?

in ranking for who i think has the best chance of making it in the nfl...yes.......harvin gets alot of opportunity, and is a perfect fit for the type of offense he in, but he will not be getting to catch option pitches in the the nfl or screen passes, shovel passes...he will not be running the draw play from the tailback postion, ect......again, if you trade and put him in mcrae's spot this year, running only nfl routes as a wide reciever in croom's offense, he would have no better stats than mcrae has.

I disagree Eugene, even though he's playing in a bad offense and doesn't have great stats, he'd still be being talked about as an NFL prospect by scouts and the like if he was good enough to deserve that kind of praise.
Tony Burks, Justin Jenkins, and Eric Moulds made their marks in bad offenses, it's not like we would've replaced their production if those guys wouldn't have been here.
There's absolutely no doubt that the top 4 SEC WR's are J Jones, AJ Green, Harvin, and Massaquoi. After that it's debatable, but I still think you'll see other guys in this league playing on Sundays before McRae.

Maybe he has decent speed and runs good routes, but he can't do that one little thing. Ohhhhh what is it? Oh yeah, catch the ball!!!! Please tell me you aren't serious that he's a top 3 SEC receiver. I guess we'll see when the All SEC teams come out. I will bet my house and truck that he's nowhere to be found. I wonder why?

You need to quit this nonsense before you get internet slaughtered.</p>
