St. Patty's Day! At .15 sounds like he was pretty tuned up.

An officer spotted a black 2007 Hyundai Sonata headed north on Interstate 180 driving 65 mph in a 60 mph zone at 2:11 a.m., Officer Katie Flood said.

How do we ever expect to compete with the SECs, Ohio States, ect of the world if we have our starting wide receivers driving around in 2007 hyundais?

Didn't TO say something like "a hundred things can happen after midnight, and none of them are good." The DUI is bad enough, but the 0.15 makes it worse in Nebraska I do believe. Just a damn shame all the way around.

Everyone knows you don't speed on that road. Especially 10 minutes after the bars close while on the borderline for an aggravated DUI. Not smart, and trying to excuse that by complaining about how he was pulled over is absolutely pathetic. Although not surprising.

he made a terrible choice, but pulling over a car going 5mph is laughable

5 miles over the speed limit _________ really.

And fail to signal a turn. It was late night of St. Patty's (technically the morning after) at 2:11 am. There's always grants and extra patrols out on St. Patty's because .....well people go out and get bombed. Got to be smarter than that.

Obviously failing not to signal done him in not going 65.... Everyone driving in Lincoln knows that.

He is an inconsiderate jackass. With all of the outlets to avoid drinking and driving, he deserves getting caught.

In a normal situation, yes. Maybe they saw him and decided to follow? Illegal is illegal. Maybe it would be serious if he killed somebody?
If he killed somebody it would be serious, whether he was drinking, texting, chewing sunflower seeds or driving as carefully as possible with two hands on the wheel stone cold sober. But he didn't kill anybody, and at a .015 he is likely still a better driver than a good chunk of the sober population

0.15, almost double the legal limit

No way in hell for you to know that. I am totally guessing, but I am betting they spotted him getting in a vehicle downtown. Decided to follow him and he turned North on 10th. When he sped up to over the speed limit they zapped him right away. It sucks, but it is also very stupid and ILLEGAL. Drunks are dangerous behind the wheel. Ii's ignorant to forgive it or make up stupid claims like "I bet he was still a better driver than most" when he could very well be looking at an aggravated dui.

Stick to elementary posts informing the board of basic sports facts scarlet, you're out of your league if you don't. You have proven that time and again.

Bottom line is we just lost a very good WideReceiver. And he ruined his life for a very short period. :(

Where does it say we lost him? Try and follow along. Basic reading and comprehension.

I never said " than most".... But if he was conscious, than he was likely in better shape than a good chunk of the Buick Lacrosses I used to see barreling into the hy vee parking lot for breakfast at 6am.

I'm not promoting drinking and driving, but for the state to set an arbitrary number for an illegal BaC is pretty ridiculous

You must be drinking tonight .....
No. I usually ignore you as a favor to the mods. That way they don't have to listen to you cry and whine like a little baby. You may want to do what they told you, and stop responding.

What???? The guy blew a .15! That is not arbitrary. Neither is .08 if you want to make yourself feel better about people driving drunk, just say it. About 90,000 data points and a ton of SCIENTIFIC research has gone into setting those numbers. But yes, I am sure you know more than the stupid scientists.

I know you have no idea how to read, but you responded to a post of mine. It is pretty simple really (but not for you). Does it get old being wrong, and going through life with iq of a flat tire?

Are you also in favor of banning driving after your 70th birthday, no matter what?..... The SCIENTIFIC evidence shows that drivers 70 and older are far more likely to be involved in fatal car accidents...
