Braves have won 4 in a row and have scored 42 runs in 4 games.

Beachy goes 7 1/3 scoreless and drops his ERA to .53 to lead the majors. This is really fun baseball to watch right now. Heyward has a 10 game hit streak, Freddie Freeman is hitting the ball all over the place, and we're getting good pitching from the starters. Braves have now won 9 of their last 10 and currently lead the majors in runs scored. It's amazing that just 10 games ago they were 0-4 and now they are 9-5. </p>

It was wayyyy too early to panic about the offense. There's just too
many good hitters in the lineup to not score runs. And for some reason,
the Mets just seemed to have our number for those 4 games.

JHey is showing he's finally healthy this season. He's also noticeably
shortened his swing and his pitch recognition & selection is much
closer to what it was in his rookie season. He definitely got frustrated
last year and became much more of a free swinger.

That 11-pitch AB against the Mets a few nights ago really seemed to get Freeman going. He's been on fire ever since.

It's definitely nice to see Beachy & Minor get deep into the game in
their last 2 starts. We've desperately needed a couple of guys in the
rotation to step up and eat some innings so we don't have to wear out
the pen early in the year. I was afraid Medlen & the Big 3 were
gonna have their arms fall off by August with the rate they were having
to come in.

My biggest concern is still JJ & Hanson. JJ just doesn't seem
healthy. His velo is still not right and he's getting torched. Hanson
has been solid, but it's become painfully clear he can't get deep into
games. Honestly, I think it's time to shop him in a trade before every
GM in the league figures it out and won't touch him. Especially since JJ
has no trade value right now. But if we move him, it's got to be for a
speedy leadoff OF type. With this being Bourn's final year under
contract and his agent being Boras, there's no way we'll manage to
re-sign him. I love Prado, but he's much better suited to the 2-hole.
Pastornicky might be an option at leadoff, but it's too early to know if
his OBP will be good enough. And frankly, I don't think we can risk the
experiment and not have a consistent guy at the top of the lineup next
season. Plus, MLB is trending back more towards speed and small ball, so
I'd love to see us put more speed in the lineup regardless.

Still, I'm pretty excited about what this team could accomplish. Juan
Francisco is growing on me at 3B. It'd be nice if he can spell Chipper
once a week to keep him fresh and from completely falling apart. I also
love us getting JHey & Freeman ABs in the 3-hole. We're definitely
grooming them for next season.

They're crushing the ball, and I hope Heyward can keep it up, but I'd still take the Philly's offense over them. Freeman is really swinging it well.

The Brewers and DBacks both have staff ERA's well over 4. I guess that might be a chicken or the egg type thing.

You'd rather have the Phillies offense that is almost scoring less than their staff ERA? OK. Howard coming back will help a bit, but they are still old as ****. Rollins, Polanco, plus all that crap in their outfield besides Pence are all terrible.
