At least our Friday night plan is mostly on cruise control - let Stratton go as long as he can to the 100-120 range, then bring in caleb and have holder warming up if it's a close game

At least in MLB you can appeal suspensions and at least they don't change the rules on you.

Wonder what Slive and the NCAA will do to the umpires? Nothing.

I think Gene could manage a game with Stratton pitching. If he's on, it ain't that hard.

But I will say that I have heard from three people that were there and all three said that the ball hit home plate, which would have made it a fair ball. The other problem is it was a play that was a play that was overruled from two other umpires where it was not their call in the first place. Those are my personal main two problems with it.


Now onto the issue that I have with this dickhead of an umpire. Kicking out a coach after a game is over. Explain that one to me.

That is why Cohen is having to sit out- because this spiteful piece of **** who doesn't know what the hell he is doing turned in a report because he didn't like our coach pointing out what a dumbass he is.

And then on top of that, you have Slive changing the rules up on us when his official was the one who 17ed it up in the first place.

Butch coaches the pitchers; however, in-game all decisions are made by Cohen

It's perfectly ok for the base umps to help on calls at home plate especially when the home plates ump has an obscured view. As someone pointed out yesterday the ump has the authority to eject a coach after the game is over so no problem there. Alive coming up with a 2nd suspension late wednesday is complete ******** though.

Baseball's gone to crap bats due to "safety". Football won't let you hit anyone anymore, much less a QB. And now umpiresand refs areuntouchable. Seriously, they have a lifetime job no matter how pathetic their performance is. When's the last time you heard a ref or ump get suspended or fined for blowing a game?Dear God.

I remember the 98' football game against Auburn when we ran out on the field out of the locker room and several players went over to the student section pointing in the stands and cheering and we got a 15 yard penalty before the game even started. Needless to say, they fumbled the kickoff and we picked it up and scored a touchdown.

Suspend our coach on Friday when it's our best opportunity at beating his beloved SEC Regional Host and powerhouse moneymaker the Florida Gators. I hope we whip that *** Friday and then Cohen calls Slive and says F*ck you, why don't you suspend me the rest of the series so I can get a front row seat at us beating that Gator *** again on Saturday and Sunday.

It's fun to think about anyway... Go Gatah!

Would love to see the video as well- though, as stated earlier, that's not even the issue. I did watch the interview of the kid after the game... if you haven't seen that, watch it. He has to think a minute about where the ball hits him. Dunno, everything about it said he got away with it.

BUT, those calls happen, and that's not even my issue.

He's already got his game suspension. I know it was from the NCAA and not the SEC, but common sense tells you there's a good reason he's arguing and unless he touched them or just really berated the crap out of them, two games is dumb and it's a money play.

You probably think it's a good idea for the first base umpire to call balls and strikes too.

The home plate umpire is supposed to ask for an appeal. Not have the first base umpire come running in to make a call that isn't his.

And ejected someone after a game is over is stupid.
