Big time expansion news:<div>
</div><div>Before I break it wide open let's go over some news I have broken that has reared its ugly head in truth:</div><div>
</div><div>1. I called the Mullen hire. People on here were saying Petersen or even, haha, DOOLEY (the idiot) would be hired. Wrong, I nailed it.</div><div>2. I called the Gator Bowl last year, everyone was buying tix to Atlanta and me and my source were sitting pretty with our Motel 6 room in Jacksonville.</div><div>3. I called the blockbuster hire of the year in Vann Stuedeman to the softball team, while EVERYONE on this board disagreed.</div><div>
</div><div>Just got word from a "close source" (not my Petersen source) that Mizzou is in meetings right now and will be announced later today as the last team in the SEC expansion. Conference re-alignment is all butguaranteed. Bama and Auburn to the east.</div><div>
</div><div>You are welcome guys...I get it....I get you are jealous that I break news and you don't. Half the trolls on here don't even know what a troll is because they are too busy getting trolled by the trolls who troll the trolls. This is for real and you will hear from me when the hammer drops.</div><div>
</div><div>A challenege: Someone find a single thing I have predicted that I have been wrong at.......Good Luck</div>

He knows how to cover his ****** tracks. He floated those 3rd world inbred couch burners in front of us in order to make these fence straddling interlopers who can't decide which part of the country they belong in look like a f'n top five program by comparison.

Alabama and Auburn both won't go to the East. Of they do it makes the conference uneven. If MO is announced the Auburn will go to the East and Bama will stay in the West.

That would put 8 teams in the east and 6 in the west. It won't happen. It will be 7 and 7 if we expand to 14.

How would the east be lopsided?

The top four teams in the west are Bama, LSU, Auburn, and Upig

The top four teams in the east are Florida and everybody else. UGA isnt a world beater because Richt seems to be losing his touch, Spurrier is well Spurrier at USCe, UT hired Dooley...yeah thats gonna work. and then you have vandy and kentucky.

The west has been football lopsided for years. You move bama and Auburn to the east. That gives you three top tier football programs in the east..UF, UA, AU.

The west then has 2 top tier football programs in Upig and LSU. Then you have a muddled mess of where aTm, OM, State, and Missouri can on any given year be that third top shelf football program. And there will always be years where both Upig and LSU are beatable.

If anything..moving Alabama and Auburn out of the west would help both Ole Miss and State. aTm is always going to be up and down...same with Mizzou. Hell I will take aTm and Mizzou every year over Bama and the Barn any day. Figuring out which team from the east comes to the west..thats easy. Vandy or Kentucky. Take your pick.

You are good at math but bad a logic.

Why is that? Based on your proposal.

West East

1. State1. Bama
2. OM2. Auburn
3. A&M 3. GA
4. LSU 4. FL
5. MO5. USC
6. AR 6. KY
7. Vandy
8. TN

Edit to add TN (wishful thinking leaving them off)

Ok so here is the deal, this is the text my source just sent me:<div>
</div><div>"hey IWasWayOff looks like you were right again! Auburn to east bama stays in West." Just like I saw earlier it looks like I nailed it again. Bama will go to the east and Auburn stays in the west.</div><div>
</div><div>Initially they thought about making the leagues lopsided but thought that it would not be fair to the lower tier teams so they just landed on Bama staying in the west, Auburn to the east.</div><div>
</div><div>Also, I am sorry if I offended some people about the Motel 6 thing, I honestly didn't mean to flaunt my wealth on this board...it is the absolute last thing I wanted. I amtrulysorry. I feel like such an idiot, but not as dumb as all those people who wanted dooley as our head coach... HAHA!!</div><div>
</div><div>So again, late breaking text: Bama stays in the west--Auburn to East. I'll update as more texts come in.</div>

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that having 8 on one side and 6 on the other was never, ever considered.

about for a while now.... but no one knew what was going on in the meeting.

I'm not sure that he's predicted the future, but he very well could be spot on. We'll see what's announced tonight. I hope he's right.

1st post: Bama and Auburn to the east.

2nd post: Auburn to east; Bama stays west.

Then 2 sentences later: Bama to east; Auburn to west.

Then the very next sentence: Auburn to east; Bama stays west. Which is what you apparently decide to stick with as evidenced by your last sentence.

Make up your mind.

So my logic was right and you're just a smart *** throwing mud at the wall seeing what sticks.

It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out Auburn is going to the east. The AU president advised Slive weeks ago that they would be willing to move to the east as long as the iron bowl stayed on the schedule.

Just because they ask for it doesn't mean they will get it. If we could keep Ole Miss on the schedule, I sure as hell wouldn't mind trading Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas for Vandy, UK, and USC.

How do we sign up for that?

They are further East than Vandy. They have a good rivalry with Georgia. I guess the only question is, howdoes this affect permanent divisional pairings? Auburn would become Alabama's East pairing, so their rivalry with Tennessee might be out... I'm sure they'll figure out a way to keep as much tradition as possible. As bad as Kentucky always is, and I know that's good for us, I really wish we had Georgia every year. Athens is awesome. You could make a case for Kentucky being Missouri's divisional pair... but who knows..?

Bama-Auburn
LSU-Florida
Arky-USC
State-Georgia?
Miss-Vandy
A&M-Tennessee?
Mizzou-UK? </p>

No thanks to GA being our permanent opponent. It's too bad we can't trade Bama and Aub for Vandy and keep KY as the permanent.

in the East with aTm as their permanent cross divisional game. Who cares if it's not split perfectly by geography.

I think they have to be in the same division or it messes up the significance of the Iron Bowl (if it happened to be followed by a rematch in the SEC Championship game). Plus can you imagine the TV ratings when Bama and LSU play in the SEC Championship every year**.

if we go to 14 teams, because of situations like the Iron Bowl and the Third Saturday in October.

6 Divisionals
2 Standard Inter-Divisionals
1 Floating Inter-Divisional

Bama, for instance, would have:
State
LSU
Arkansas
A&M
Ole Miss
Missouri

Auburn
Tennessee

Alternate Vandy/Florida/SC/UGA/KY

We would likely see something like:
Alabama
LSU
A&M
Missouri
Arkansas
Ole Miss

Kentucky
SC (our former standard) or Auburn (in the Cam & Cecil Newton Saga Memorial Classic)

Float UGA/Fla/TN/Vandy/Auburn

It puts 7 teams at an alternating conference home field advantage each year, but that would be the only way it would work.
