We keep saying that every year, and every year the prices keep going up.
Coaching salaries have finally begun to hang in the same range except for the biggest schools. I think $5M for a QB is one of those situations. It’s not sustainable long-term. MSU will never pay a player $5M for a single season.

This money is really making me re-think how much money was being paid under the table before NIL. Literally Billions are going to the football players now that its allowed...so just how much was going to them when it was against the rules?

I thought Cam's request for $180,000 was way out of line for the times, but maybe that really was cheap!

Unfortunately, one of the things I like best about Mississippi state fans is also what is going to keep us from competing with a lot of these schools. We ultimately are going to choose the family vacation over buying a tight end.
100% agree. I am OK with cheering for a program whose fans are going to prioritize a family vacation over helping to pay for a tight end to play at MSU.
If I had the power to decide, I would choose all MSU fans going on vacation 100% of the time.

Maybe Tulane got it right 60 years ago when they left the SEC.

If you can’t do both of these without it being nothing more than a mild annoyance to your world, you got no business doing it.

I honestly can’t believe we have people giving like $100 a month.

Instead of getting on board with the future of college football, Missisippi State fans keep sitting back saying, "oh, this won't last, college football will die, people aren't going to continue to watch and support." Meanwhile, ratings have never been higher for college football, the money has never been more, and the prices keep going up. There is no bubble and it will not burst. If we don't want to live in this environment, then we should go down to the Sun Belt conference where we can sit back and enjoy our version of rah rah college football like it was in the good old days.

And then turn around and blame Cohen for thinking the same thing.

The person demanding $5 million is pretty responsible as well.
Nah. The fact he isn't laughed off campus for asking it is the problem.

We are now in NFL contract territory. And it's only getting worse with no governance.
