I heard he is trying to get another year. Is that possible?
Has been mentioned here as well and no one knows how from what I’ve seen. Would be great if he did, but he played most games at UT his first year, even though he didn’t get much action

It feels like a stretch but they give guys extra years for no clear reason sometimes so who knows.

The only thing I can find is he had an injury early in 2023 at Oklahoma and missed about 6 games… though that still means he played in the other 6 games.

How many did he play? I have no idea, but I'm assuming he's trying to get a redshirt for that year.

Just give players strictly 5 years regardless of playing time. The NCAA is a clown show.

I can’t remember and too lazy to look it up right now but I thought it was something like 9 games or 11 games but only two catches his freshman year

edit: looked it up…. 9 games and one reception

Pretty sure medical redshirts don’t follow the 4 game max rule. Usually if a guy didn’t redshirt prior to the season he was injured, they are more likely to grant one. Think it has to be a season ending injury in first half of the season

I think it’s the 4-game rule for medical redshirts. Hope not though.

If he played for UGA, Alabama or Texas it would be rubber stamped. State, I'm unsure.

Help me remember what happened with Marcus Green.
Was on the roster from 2007-2012ish, but it seemed like 10 years (Croom-Mullen/Henig-Prescott). Got a red-shirt and at least one year for a knee injury). Many of us thought he would retire at State.
