Brewster is all over the map. Our other coaches could learn a lesson from him... at least in the recruiting game.

Brew is racking up the hell out of some frequent flyer miles. This dude is all over the place. And, he gets the social media thing.

And I agree, Ross would be a nice flip. He may not be Quon, but who the hell really is?

Here's the deal on Fred, and I could find out more living in East Texas. John Tyler (his high school) high had a great year this year and lost out to Denton Guyer in the semifinal of their division in the 4-A playoffs. I think you have to win 6 straight to make it to state championship. They did, however beat the pants off many dallas teams on their way Frisco/Allen Centennial. All that to say they play in a division loaded with D-1 talent. 4-A in texas is stacked.

Aaron Ross (corner at Texas) and then onto fame with the NY Giants is probably a close relative of Fred if not the brother or cousin. He was a first rounder in the NFL. A lot of big time talent comes out of JT High school. Earl Campbell came from there. Needless to say he has the talent, bloodlines to compete at whatever level he wants.

John Tyler High School is a monster in Texas football. My sons go to Denton Guyer (state champs in 4A this year too!), and my oldest played football. He stressed how concerned his coaches were of the physical nature of JT kids . . . ALL of them. What that means to me is a kid that has speed and can catch, but even more importantly, is a good downfield blocker, because JT has a very good power running game.

  • Really enjoyed Tyler! It's the home of my good friend Earl Campbell "The Tyler Rose"<s>#</s>HailState

really need to flip him from Okla. St since Corey Smith left. I really need some good news as well

Brewster is GREAT about sharing information with the fanbase. You just have to sometimes 'decode' his tweets. I love this about him and that's why I trust that the coaches are on top of all of this recruiting mess as of late. That is until signing day and they prove me wrong. Then it's open game to criticize them.

True, I also heard that he decommitted from Ok St. I was mistaken in thinking he was a wr. I just heard that he met with brew too while he was here with Ross.

Mississippi State's own Derek Rush was the John Tyler head football coach until last spring. Derek is a heck of a good corch. I had hoped State could parlay that into some good east Texas crootin' but it never happened. Derek Rush is now coaching in Conroe, just a little north of Houston.

Reason he decommitted from OSU. Wouldn't be a bad pick up

We'll take as many dual sport guys as we can get.

If we had 2 in FB/Basketball and 1 in FB/Baseball in the same year, that would be very interesting.

Lord knows Rick Ray will take them. I dont know about Bowser, but I wont be shocked when I see DeRunya get minutes next year in basketball.

Speaking of DeRunya, I hope to god Verne Lundquist never calls his games

Can you imagine?

"You can DeRunya mouth all you want when you make plays like that!"

"If you don't put a man on Wilson, he'll DeRunya out of the stadium!"
