I hope Brian stays but if he goes we need to go after Will Stein as his replacement.

You are selling our program short, he is not the Head Coach anywhere yet. I do agree he will eventually be a Head Coach but if he went somewhere else and had the same success he would definitely be in demand.

He calls the plays at Oregon (the number one team in the country). Jeff Brohm calls the plays here. Not selling our program short. He has a better gig at Oregon.

If the offensive coordinator job came open he would be my number one target. Jeff Brohm had a good gig at Purdue but money and the opportunity to come home was what it took.

Both of you guys are making valid points… but who’s to say he wouldn’t come here, if Jeff assured him that he could call the plays. It’s his home after all.

Was Florida Atlantic the only job Brian was a candidate for? Are there other schools interested?

There is no way Will Stein is coming here as OC. He is the OC for the #1 team in the country. His next stop is as a head coach.

Watch out for UK.

The big blue message board riffraff are full of Jon Sumrall, but Will Stein could be the smart pick. Stein grew up a UK fan, and not long ago waxed poetically about going to games with his Dad at Commonwealth Stadium.

I don't know that Will would go straight to an SEC head coaching gig but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for him to make a lateral move (arguably a backward move) to Louisville.

Will Stein's next move will be Head Coach at a P4 school or as an offensive coordinator in the NFL. It won't be as an OC somewhere else in College. Nobody is going to out money whip NIKE University to bring him on as a coordinator.

Why would anyone leave the best program in the Country to come to Louisville? That just doesn’t happen.

I agree money, family and alumni, not to change the subject but had everyone noticed the dumpster fire going on at sUcK?
