First off, I want to thank Kyle for his dedication to Rutgers football, he gave it his all for the past four years as head coach, and as an assistant coach prior to his appointment to the head coaching position in 2012.
In terms of why we're making this move now, the answer is not very complicated. On September 3, 2016, we open our season at Washington. I feel that making a change at this time gives us the best chance to go 1-0.
