Regarding Brohm, I doubt Mitch will offer someone with strong Louisville ties, because it might piss off some of the Louisville haters, and we have plenty of them unfortunately. The safe hire for Mormon Mitch is Neal Brown. I for one am not convinced Neal Brown can recruit and win at UK.

For the love of God can the BS please stop? I am surprised someone has not posted that Saban, Meyers and Harbaugh are ALL interested in the UK job..Saying Brohm would take the UK job reminds me of when Brian Brohm was a Senior at Trinity and all of the BS posts that said he was coming to UK because his GF was at UK..WE all know how that turned out..

I was told the same thing a week before the season started and posted it on HOB. Was told this by a friend I've known since I was a kid who is a close friend of Brohms.

Brohm is waiting for a better job. At least that's what his family has said. He's happy at WKU.

He just lost at home to Vanderbilt.

Yeah but to be fair Western isn't half as good as they were last year and he elected to go for 2 to win the game. I didn't think they'd beat Vandy today but Western could still easily win 8 or 9 games this year.

That's fine. I was really just needling the OP. I just don't think Brohm is our best choice.

You have to make the phone call no matter what. Buy let's not pretend all SEC jobs are equal. He's sure to have several offers.

Pretty terrible xhoice to go for 2.

Save that for a team that is seriously outmatched.. like if app st had scored agaonst tennessee..

Wku can play with vandy straight up

I don't see how Brohm's resume is anything special right now.
What team has he rebuilt? He took over a pretty good team with a good QB in Doughty.
What signature wins has he had at WKU?

Went for 2 for the win in OT and running back didnt catch the pass - hit him in the face.. would have been a W.

That is the right call when it works, but that seems more like a road move than a home move. You have an offense. Tie the game and live to make another play at home.

I have to disagree. Brohm was with team Schnellenburger and things were different then. Schnellenburger played at UK and he holds no ill will against UK. Jeff Brohm is not your typical UL fan. He's a good person that very well may take the job if it were offered to him. I don't think he will ever coach at UK but he's not a closed minded person like 99% of that fan base. I just don't personally feel he'd be the right coach at UK.

His decision to go for 2 at that point was just plain stupid. Shows no confidence in his D, sure his D assts loved that brain fart.

It's public knowledge that he turned down overtures from better programs than UK at the end of last season. Don't understand why anyone thinks that anything has changed since then. Certainly, nothing better for UK to offer. Doesn't mean that the info is wrong but just that it's illogical.
