on nafoom posting about a great deal of our players gaining 40+ lbs in a matter of months. I don't believe he ever provided any specific names, though. Imagine that.
ETA: you've got to be some kind of special (and I don't mean in a good way) to be someone that monitors other teams' players' weights.

He has had plenty of company, ironically a couple of my acquaintances from
high school played at Ole Miss back in the early 80's. When they went up there neither was close to being an SEC player but they both ended up becoming much larger and somewhat faster and played meaningful ball for the Reb's. Just good weight training I guess. Both gained over 40 lbs of muscle in less than two years.

Yeah, there have been several threads where Reb posters were requested to provide specific examples of players gaining 40+ lbs, and they always go unanswered. Imagine that.

Yep. His name was Jared Foster. I'm not sure if he would have ever even played or was even on scholarship, but he was definitely on the team.
The whole "MSU's players are on steroids" thing is hilarious to me. If yall's players were juicing, don't you think that would be pretty easy to be spot even for the NCAA? We are talking about 100+ players (assuming walk-ons are being counted) that are possibly juicing. Yeah, that makes no sense to me.
It's just each team's stupid fans spouting off random crap. We all have 'em...

There obviously needs to be an effort to suppress our players weight so they can't see it. That way they never gain weight from freshman to senior years. Never happens.

I actually do know him pretty good. He was a 17ing terrible athlete. $ got him his scholarship. He's now in a federal penitentiary in Illinois I believe, maybe Indiana.
