He really shouldn't win his waiver in my opinion based on the rationale.

"Brunetti, who has three years of eligibility remaining, said earlier this month that he's seeking a waiver from the NCAA to be able to play right away. Originally from Memphis, Brunetti said he wanted to play at a school closer to his mother, who was injured in a car wreck last year and has difficulty making long car rides. "

I'm sure part of that is true, but this open a can of worms for anyone that goes a decent distance away from home.

Mackey's the starter next fall. He's put up great stats at every level he's played in and he's looked great in practice all fall. He's going to be a star and would have probably started this fall if Masoli hadn't fell into their laps.Or at least that's what I heard all fall from a few Bear posters. This business of bringing in 20 new QBs that no one else wantsmust bejust to provide depth.
