BSR Presents Maroon Classic-Another Classic Game Tonight!

Hey guys, we had a great response from last week's USM replay, so we are back at it again. Obviously, classic game and UAB don't really work together, the Chinamen's Chance game notwithstanding, so we'll go back to 2004 for MSU vs Florida tonight. I'll be on Twitter for observations as well, not so much play by play this time, but thoughts here and there. Hope you'll tune in in 30 minutes.

I hope y'all do the same thing during basketball season. Would love to hear some of those early and mid 90s games and some from early 2000 years.

I was living in Ireland that fall and didn't have a way to watch or listen to the game. I was at a concert in a theater on Grafton Street when my cousin (by coincidence also living in Ireland) texted me the final score. That night I loudly sang Hail State, wished I had my cowbell, and thought ole Sly just might get it done for us.

So thanks for doing this. It compensates for missing out the first time.

11 players that played in the NFL, plus quality college guys like Conner, McDougal, Jeramie Johnson, and Willie Evans. A good coach could have had that team in a bowl.

One of several Croom era games where I made no plans to watch other than the occasional checking to see how bad the score was...

Nobody thought there was any way that game would be close, myself included. Today's younger fans don't get just how horrible we were from 2001-2008.

Yes, we were 3-8 and lost to Maine that year, but I don't know if I've ever felt as euphoric as I did when Norwood scored. It's one of those games where you literally couldn't believe what just happened.
