is there to BDJ that is not received here or as a member of Genespage? Is there any additional information out there? Most of the time I see the "breaking information" on that site posted here within a short period of time. thanks.

and also if you like to read interviews from guys on the team and stuff. For 100 dollars that you never have to pay again is well worth it though.. i did it last time they had it and i dont regret it

If you think we are like Genespage... then you need to check out the site. Drop me an email and I'll give you a free trial.

The last thing anyone needs to think is that if they're a member of Genespage that they are getting the full story on any topic.

BDJ may not hit a home run every time... but we put a lot of effort into reporting accurately and honestly. We will not spin a story... we are here to simply tell you the truth of the matter.

Please, don't take my word for it... if you want to see for yourself that we are all about.. email [email protected].

When I had my free trial with you guys, the recruiting pages were all jacked up. Football was the only one you had and there were alot of inaccuracies there. Granted, that was well over a year ago and the site was still relatively new, but with that being my last impression before my free trial was up, I could never bring myself to ponying up for a subscription.

As far as a comparison to Gene's Page, you are both businesses and when push comes to shove you will do what it takes to keep your subscribers. I will give an example. I get your newsletters. I got one late in the Croom era that was trying to convince me not to give up on MSU football and to continue to go to games. Tell me that had nothing to do with keeping subscribers and hits on your site up. That seems comparable to Gene's pumped sunshine to me.

I do like who you have hired to write columns and feel like their knowledge of their respective sports really adds something. But any recruiting news you guys have will eventually filter down to here anyway.

Not trying to bash you guys as I do feel like you are the best option in terms of MSU pay sites. I guess I am a cheap *** and while $100 may not be alot, I can't bring myself to pay it when ultimately all I am getting extra are some insightful articles from Jackie and Shane. I would be thrilled if I got this as a father's day or Christmas present though.

Tenure...

There's no question the site has been a work in progress at times. If you would like to take a look at the site... feel free to drop me a note and I'll take care of that for you.

I'll also mention we are in the process of a full redesign ... including a new recruiting DB. So there are several new things coming to the site.

It may have changed for the worse. Should I pay a subscription to find out? Personally I wouldn't have transitioned the site to pay until all of the kinks were worked out.

Good call on taking one point out of several and implying that my decision was based solely on that.

then you need to check who I was replying to.

Otherwise, I guess only once if it has been fixed/improved. But with a recruiting overhaul on the way, there is an element of the unknown again.

However, if you are implying that I am just pandering for a free trial, you can go 17 yourself.

and looking to argue. Would you like for him to beg you to take the free trial so you can see whether it has gotten worse?

Because I was making a point that first/last impressions weigh in on buying decisions?

If you bought a new car and it was a POS (not that BDJ is a POS). So you traded it in. Then several people told you that car was great and all of the problems were fixed. Would you take their word for it?

As someone who hasn't bought a subscription as of yet, I would think they would value my reasons for not doing so.

For all the talk of sheep on this board, I would think you would understand not fully believing the opinions of others or future promises.

News Flash...It isn't free, you just are not paying for it. Most of us are helping dawgstudent offset the cost, you should consider doing the same with or without BDJ.

I posted reasons why I have chosen not to buy a subscription yet. Michael saw those reasons and offered a trial. (I'm assuming the BDJ poster is Michael) It could have ended there. But apparently there are some BDJ homers here who couldn't handle the critisism which Michael didn't seem to mind. So when my initial post was attacked, I defended it...
