I did not watch but I believe the final was 56-36. That sets the stage for the Bison to hit the road next Friday night to unbeaten Central Lunenburg. That one should attract quite a bit of attention not only down there but in Greenville also, where the number one seed Gladiators will be hosting a game against the winner of Sussex and Franklin. I have not heard anything about that one, so maybe it is a Saturday game???

Answering my own question.........I see on MaxPreps, if we can trust them..........that Sussex beat Franklin 20-2 in a game that was apparently played on Wednesday night. So the Tigers will be the team coming to Riverheads next Friday. The Gladiators are 3-0 all time against Sussex, with one game played on each team's field and one in the 2016 state final down in Salem. Their most recent meeting was a regional final played at Riverheads in 2019, which the Big Red won 46-0.
