they got a band on two weeks notice............

that's pretty good work. I thought for sure we'd end up with Bill Cooke. No offense Bill.

They're from Denton, Texas. They're pretty sought after by the college crowds out here. there is a big difference in Nashville country music and Red Dirt music/Austin Music. Though Eli Young has kind of begun to sell it's soul for the nashville pop dollars. sort of in between the two. enjoy...carry on.

would make everyone happy? Just curious.

I am not saying that Music Maker does a great job but it is pretty damn unrealistic to think they can make everyone happy.

It's not music makers. Have we not established this already? It is done by the SA and coordinated by the director(s) of External Affairs within the SA. And if Eli Young Band is true then that is a good pick for a free college concert. Not everyone loves country but most can stand it.

If this is true than this is an awesome pickup at the last minute. This may be the best band we've had for Bulldog Bash in years imo.

i don't get all the hate. I've seen Neon Trees live and really enjoyed it. They put on a good show; however, if you have kids, you might want to keep them away from NT shows. Lots of graphic sex talk from the stage, at least when I saw them.

I wasn't implying

that I knew who EYB was, I just stated that I had no idea who Neon Tree is. I consider myself pretty knowledgable in music, too. After I posed the question, I youtubed them and they're horrible. It probably wouldn't be a bad place to see some chicks (their concerts) but they suck as a band.
