Yes, but if your company has a deadline for the matching gift... good luck getting it matched. My company requires me to send the payment with a matching gift form that has a few lines the receipient must fill out and mail to my company. They have 90 days to do this. Apparently between the BDC and MSU Foundation it takes over 100 days to process this. I even highlight and circle the section that states it must be completed in 90 days just to be sure it's not overlooked.
I've called, emailed, complained, etc. My most recent payment was in June. As of October 14 (approximately 120 days) I have received no notice that the form has been received, rejected, or payment made. I'm assuming it was never sent to my company.
It frustrates the living piss out of me that for as much as the BDC begs me for money, they throw away free money because they can't enter a tax ID number and address on a piece of paper, and then mail it within 90 17'n days. The process was fine 2008 - 2011. But for the last two years they've matched less than half my gifts. I suppose my donation is not big enough to matter (it's only a few hundred $$)...
Also - most companies will only match 80% since you do receive a benefit (priority points).
