Is Troy #24?
Our game was that close.
Still, had we not dropped so many passes, we would have been able to continue several stalled drive and I figure we would have scored at least a couple more TD's.
Not sure why, but at Troy our wide receivers seemingly switched away from meeting the ball with their hands (thumbs in) to trying to catch the ball in a basket (thumbs out). We didn't do that against Auburn, and in our first two games this season I was excited to see us catch thumbs in like many other successful passing teams over the past several years.
Last year and vs Jackson State and Auburn this year, our pass catching had improved over 2009. Hope our new WR coach Brewster isn't switching the way we catch the ball, because everything else I had seen from him so far was positive.
I am SO glad that we have USA, Open Date, and Kentucky the next 3 weeks. Give us time tune up, rest, etc. before the meat of our schedule. We should be 5-0 going when Tennessee comes to town.
