This is what the absence of capitalism looks like for all you Bernie Bros. Venezuela.
Waiting like that happens in capitalism all the time. Decreasing supply drives up prices if the demand is there. Hell, limiting supply can even drive up demand as well. I bet Popeyes got a ton more business because of all the news stories they got due to people waiting long *** times in line to get a damn chicken sandwich. That made a bunch of other people want to go to see what all the fuss was about.

Did they go out and see how things went at the beach? Were people glad or anxious about them opening?
My uncle and his wife live at the beach (not beachfront but within easy walking distance for elderly folk) and went without hesitation. One of them has diabetes so wouldn't surprise me if I find out soon he got the coronavirus [eyeroll]

I rarely talk with them but are friends with them on Facebook though so I don't know their true level of glee or hesitation but given how quick it was announced they were reopened and the fact they went on the first day is why I say without hesitation.

Omg. Yes people wait to spend disposable income in capitalism.

Not for handouts because they can’t work because there is no work.

What a terrible take.

And do you have proof these people are waiting for a free bag of food because they don't have the money or are they waiting because supplies are starting to become scarce? No, because you don't.

People wait in line at my local Walmarts and grocery stores every morning to get stuff without anything being given away for free because the retailers are running out of stock of many things like toilet paper, milk, cereal, pasta, canned goods, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, paper towels, meats, bottled water, etc.

Not because they are unemployed without any income and waiting for free handouts.

What a terrible take.

Yeah I agree, every time I go to the store there's a line over a mile long. Damn capitalism.

Well, hopefully they will be smart (I'm sure they will) and stay healthy. I hope this goes well and will be a good thing. Life has to start to get back to as normal as possible.

My mom said when she went to Kroger last week she had to wait in line over 30 minutes to pay for her supplies with every cash register open along with 12 self checkout stations. No one was giving away anything, just a bunch of people trying to buy stuff. Damn capitalism!

Hopefully they are smarter than they are on Facebook because they are constantly sharing a bunch of ******** that isn't true. You're stereotypical Boomer that seems to believe anything that's posted on the internet because it wouldn't be posted on the internet if it wasn't true!

Do you think people waiting in lines that wrap around a block for a free $30 bag of groceries is normal conditions?

My mom used to say that people would take a pile of s*** as long as you put a sign up that said free. And she grew up during the depression. There are people that would do anything for free stuff.

Since you're playing generational games, your generation doesn't want to pay for anything. I have an employee born in 1984 and he's constantly telling me about deals and sales everywhere. I've told him numerous times that I prefer the convenience of just paying for something.

Michigan's tyrant made a graph that is nonsensical to make herself look like she did a good job. Look closely at the right side and the numbers arent proportional to the chart in the actual vs projected

Michigan was probably already gonna be red in November but she’s doing her best to make sure it stays that way.

Perhaps if the older generations hadn't made disastrous financial decisions purely out of greed without any thought for the ramifications other than what happened to their bank account, then millennials wouldn't have had to face graduating into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, and thus forcing them to have to bargain shop. And if you think only millennials go after sales and deals, then you need to learn about the real world instead of hiding in your mom's basement being a keyboard warrior.

It's hardly just "boomer's" that are gullible about stuff they read on the internet.

You've got supposed "news" organizations putting out blatantly false stories and info.

40 more positive tests from long term care, 3 of the 7 deaths.

Long term care is at least 15% of the case load and over 30% of the fatality load in KY.

Just your typical headline and article meant to prey on the simple minded and fit an agenda.

Logic tells you that 90% of those tests were conducted before any protest took place, the reason for the jump is because a delay in positive reports from previous days and not because of a ton of new cases. Until data is put out on positives by test date the daily numbers are meaningless.

It’s so frustrating.

If you exercise one ounce of critical thought, you realize the facts don’t support the story that headline is trying to tell. But so far today I’ve seen it posted multiple times on this site, and it was on the front page of reddit.

Why am I being bombarded with ******** headlines skewed to support a narrative?

It’s just disaster and hysteria porn to keep the lights on at these media outlets. The longer this coronavirus shutdown goes on, the longer people are tuning into the nightly news rather than sports.

People are paying attention to a podunk backwoods governor rather than watching the NBA playoffs.

5 days average for symptoms to show, 7-10 days for severe symptoms, 2-10 days for test results to return...yep, the math checks out, this protests within the last 5 days caused the spike. Smh

The sheep don't know any better.

I could be wrong but I got this feeling Andy is going to use these benchmarks because he has the right to use them and change them but they will be moving goal posts and moving from phase to the next will be dang near impossible making this lock down last for an extreme amount of time.
