You say "these wins don't make that loss go away..."
I don't know how anybody can argue with that. Kind of like saying "these past 3 Egg-Bowl victories don't make that bad loss 4 years ago go away." It's that type of glass-half-empty attitude that keeps me coming back for more.
If the Texas Rangers make it back to the World Series
(hopefully to lose to the Braves), I doubt their fans say "Well, we made
it to the World Series and all, but that doesn't make that series
against Kansas City in May where we lost 2 of 3 go away."
I know many posters on this board try to corner the market on pessimism and some view their purpose of being here to counter the Gene's page optimism, but statements like "these wins don't make that bad loss go away" are just a little bit overboard...step away from the ledge people, we just took at least 2 of 3 from the number 4 team in the country. I was bummed a few days ago coming off that loss, but we've handled that loss nicely.
