It took years to install an offense! Thank God that assclown is gone.

Lee said the offense is well past the installation stage and is spending its time and effort on polishing the finer points of what it plans to do this season.

having just watched a replay of the MSU-Florida game in 2004, we did have an offense when we allowed Omarr to do his thing (roll out, read option, etc). That game and the 4th quarter of the Tulane 2006 debacle are the only times I can think of when Croom let Omarr loose and guess what, we moved the ball all over the place in both of those instances. Too bad there wasn't more of that.

To me it wasn't that Croom was too stupid to come up with an offense that could work, it was his stubborn pride in wanting to do things his way (results be damned) that cost us. Which is much worse than being just too dumb to know how to come up with a functional offense.

why don't we run this kind of stuff all the time. And then I thought, well maybe they're beginning to figure it out.

And then for the next four years, they never did it again.

how to win the Liberty Bowl. The man is a bonifide dumbass who surrounded himself with his posse instead of an offensive coaching staff. The whole group didn`t have enough sense to pour piss out of a boot.

When he let Henig call and run the offense in the Liberty Bowl. We won.

that Carroll called the play on his own even though Croom didn't want him to do it?

I don't think Croom really knew how to run the West Coast offense. He tried to make it a power running offense. It's a pass first offense- both the Don Coryell/Sid Gillman version and the Bill Walsh version. He had some random concepts like scripting the first 15 plays, but aside from that, he had no clue. I honestly think he tried to run what the Packers were running and just replaced the Packers binder with a MSU binder. If he knew what he was doing, he would have darn sure made getting a QB a priority. I think Woody was just stupid for lack of better words. Anyone who has met the guy knows what I'm talking about. I'm not sure that he could make cereal with instructions.

That game, we had an actual offense. It just looked good. I remember thinking," holy ****! They figured it out! It works! Let's do this every freakin game!". Never saw that offense again.

Rocky called the plays that game. Why dumbo couldn't see the difference between the offense that game vs. every game woody called the shots is beyond me.

we just blew nuts consistently. I think if you call ******** random plays long enough, then randomly you'll have a game were it dumbfounds the opponents enough to work.

Now, could he be lying or misinformed? Sure. But him telling me that, to me, is more reliable information than me guessing whether or not it was Woody.

Wasn't Woody absent that game or something? This was about the time the "Woody has Cancer" rumors were starting up was it not?

He could have had five hundred players on scholarship and still would not have been able to put together a competent offense.
