I hope every NFL GM notices what an absolute jerk he is ....if I had a third party NIL deal with him I'd cancel it ....
My default position is to side with law enforcement unless or until there is evidence of wrongdoing. That said, there are way too many cops who get off on demonstrating and abusing their authority. In this case, the videos seem to show that this is one such cop. There was absolutely no reason for his behavior. Do I think a lawsuit is warranted? No. But I do think there should at least have been a reprimand.

I guarantee you he had multiple lawyers contact him, though. It’s the perfect lawsuit for a quick settlement and a paycheck. The officer was reprimanded, which essentially says his employer thought what he did was wrong. There is no reason to fight it. Settle and write a check. I bet that type of lawyer could smell the money while watching it on TV.

The officer was removed from his duties there. That should have been the end of it.
I just started shaking my head when I first saw this in the news this morning. Then I got pissed off because some of the comments started off…”if the roles were reversed, the trooper would be hanging by now.”

Yes, it was a stupid thing for the trooper to do but wasn't criminal. A good sportsman would have given the player a pat on the back instead of barreling into him, but he was being a jerk. No damage done, nothing to see here.
Agree that the trooper should face some sort of disciplinary action, but the player shouldn't financially benefit from the incident.

The officer was an ******* for what he did. The player is a ***** for making an issue out of it. That is all there is to this. The officer deserves some type of punishmnet. The player is entitled to an apology from the Texas Highway Patrol and the school, but nothing more than that.
It's extremely stupid because while the cop acted like a jerk, they initiated the contact as much or more than he did. He couldn't go either way to make room for them. One of them could have made room. He over reacted but he didn't do anything to them other than yell afterwards.
Sell, that cop needs to be held accountable.

Is it possible that the cop should be fired or heavily disciplined and this guy is a total b*tch at the same time? Cause that is my opinion
