Not if you want him there but Renardo Sidney will be on State's campus for the first day of classes.

He is damaged goods. This is his last chance to make the NBA. He must show improvement on and off the court. If he doesn't, he better learn Italian, Spanish or Greek.

I have nothing to base it on but I just have a feeling that Sidney will decide to take the whole year off to "work on his game and get in shape" for the NBA draft. It would be a stupid thing to do but remember who we are dealing with here.

he has alot of issues going on- and him not being in Europe is very telling

I hate to lose that kind of talent- but we will be better off in the long run without him as opposed to having to count on him when it matters

Whether this season turns out good or bad for him/us I don't think he's just going to go away.

high, sell low. Optimist ... think he wants to prove something this year. He drops 20+ pounds in Texas and becomes SEC POY.

trying to get him eligible, the attorney kept on saying that playing in Europe was not an option for Sidney. Maybe he is on some sort of double secret probation that doesn't allow him to leave the country. I don't know, but I fully expect him to be on the team. Hopefully, he can be in shape and allow us to run some this year with him in the game. Last year he killed our break.

he needs stansubry more than stands needs him at this point of his college career.....not playing DI ball doesnt mean he doesnt get drafted, it just means he gets drafted lower and makes less money....so he needs stands right now.....I say this is gonna be a dontae jones type of year...

but aGAIN- Lucas doesnt run a Jenny Craig program- not to mention, Sidney was down to 260-265...6'10, 265 isnt someone who is sofat and they need professional help-

ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE IN A COLLEGE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM

Doesnt anybody question why Sidney hasnt been working with the new program we have on campus for all the other players? Especially when weight is supposed to be an issue?

translated means "I'm guessing and if I go into detail then I can't crawfish out of it if I guess wrong". Is your source the same source that gave you the scoop on Jarvis Varnado's tuition being paid by a booster? I am amazed at your lack of tact when it comes to randomly casting accusations about players.

what I said didn't need a translation
Translated means, "Don't call me out on my complete ******** statements! Just because I spew this crap constantly then celebrate my 5% success rate (see Nostradamus) doesn't mean I want you pointing it out on the message board. I'm making wild assumptions based on little more than the fact that Sidney didn't go to Europe and John Lucas has worked with troubled players in the past."

that haven't been proven and probably not a good idea to even put them out in public.

And then uses another rumor he started to show that this rumor is accurate.

Its like trying to show an 8yo how to be logical. You can give them examples and define it, but their little mind cant yet grasp the concept.

If the rumor is correct, then great(not for Sidney, but for Coach). I have no idea if it is or isnt correct. But the constant declaring that his rumor, which is so far totally unproven, as fact gets tiring.

Sidney going to Texas instead of Europe makes no sense. He could have gone there and come back to go on the trip. 10 days in Texas instead of playing and practicing overseas will not make a difference. I 100% think the story that has been told by Sidney and Stans is junk because it is more illogical that most of Coach's viewpoints. But that doesnt come close tomeaning with total certainty that Sidney is into drugs so much that he needs life treatment for using, which is what Coach is saying. Do we really have a methhead on the team or something?...because that is where he is going with this.

He is on his 9th life. He knows what he has to do and so does his parents and John Lucas. Lucas was in Starkville last week giving our staff an update and I look for Sid to return but he will be on an extremely short leash. The kid is sitting on a potential 100 million dollars and hopefully he is smart enough to understand it. If not, so be it, we are going to be good either way.

I emailed that to tenureplan about an hour before Dawgbreeze posted it...He is definitely on his 9th life and I'll be shocked if he plays for usin the last game of the season

Drop him then. Fast. Its bad, mkay, but nobody could suggest with a straight face that he is the only one to do it. Is he so dependant that he cant function? If so, i dont want such a feeb on the team. Baby Huey can go home or just stay in Houston.

So lets say he was given some sort of ultimatum to go to Houston after the spring semester ended. He is back, so obviously whatever the cure was, it didnt take. He is getting yet another chance then?

Meanwhile, when did this come out? Last I recall, there was no exact figure, and estimates ranged from 272 to 292.
