Bowen pitched last night, but I was surprised that Wesson is still pitching. I feel sorry for Bowen who showed ability last year and I thought as ya'll he would be drafted this year. Cohen's thinking IF we make the Ncaa tourney or even we made it to the SEC tourney, cough cough, we would need Bowen. What this tells me is Cohen hasn't given up with the hope of advancing. Looking at our staff, he has very few choices in who to pitch, do you bring a guy in like Bowen who probably will throw pitches to the back stop or do you bring in a Wesson who throw alot of "down the middle pitches" that are hit deep and far? Wesson isn't the only one, Bussey, Jones, Reed,Swindle, Hayes, Hollinghead or Houston, all have had bad outings with a few good outings by some.
One thing about Cohen, regardless who you are, he is willing to give everyone a chance, good example is Rawdow (subbing for Butler who is one of our better hitters) who had a good game last night going 3 for 4.
I can't fault Cohen's decisions with this years talent, now when he gets his players in it'll be a different story as we all expect him to have talent and talent usually overcomes poor coaching or decisions and with this years bunch I really don't think it makes a lot of difference who's playing.
