People obviously talked about him, but my impression is it was relatively muted relative to where his NFL prospects are.

Lance Long. Typical non-factor WR in Croom's Gulf Coast Offense. Then makes NFL roster.

Honorable mention to Donald Lee, serviceable TE for Sherrill who goes on to have a long NFL career.

Not under-appreciated to people that have a clue about football. Had friend early in the season who kept saying Fletch "needs to be more violent." This was after Auburn and LSU. I kept telling friend he was fine and was one of best in the league. He then rattled off what 4 DL of the Week awards?

Flab - good call with Lance "short of the 1st down curl" Long & "The Maben Mauler" Donald Lee. Another one that was a teammate of Lee's would be Justin "Cokey"Griffith.
