</div><div>CFN is somehow predicting Georgia to the Peach Bowl ahead of it. Absurd. But if it happens, should we look elsewhere than the SEC tie-ins? It's not without precedent. In fact, Nevada is taking advantage of the lack of Pac-10 teams to fill in its contracts to go to the Las Vegas Bowl to play Utah. Boise State jimmied around the tie-ins back in 2008 so they could play TCU.</div><div>
</div><div>Maybe instead, if the Peach Bowl won't have us, we should look into taking an unfilled Pac-10 slot in the Sun Bowl or Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Or, if Washington loses Saturday, the Holiday Bowl will come open. Those 3 bowls don't want to have to resort to 6-6 MAC and WAC teams to fill in the tie-ins, so why not see if we can negiotiate one of those spots? </div><div>The SEC would probably be OK with it. Kentucky would slide up to the Liberty, and the SEC wouldn't get the $300,000 from the BBVA Compass Bowl, but we could bring in for the SEC the $1,650,000 from the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl or $1.9 mil for the Sun Bowl, or just maybe $2.2 mil for the Holiday Bowl.</div><div>
